One CCP board can manage up to 200 TRXs

(50 VTCU * 4 TRX-FR)

LIU Shelf manage: 16 x 16 E1 = 256 E1 links max

The "TCU allocation Evolution" feature enables the removal of different constraints in A9130 BSC Evolution due to flexible TCU allocation approach. All TCUs across CCP boards belong to one pool, where any Abis signaling TS allocation can be routed to any TCU across CCPs boards. We can allocated any available TCU from the TCU pool from configuration point of view.

In A9130 BSC Evolution, TCU allocation only involve the mapping of signaling channels i.e. RSL/OML on a TCU. Since traffic will be switched within TPGSM, it does not make sense to map TCHs & EXTS on to the TCU.We still have the following constraint for TCU allocation:

• TCU can handle maximum of 4 FR TREs (4 RSLs) or 2 FR + 1 DR TREs (3 RSLs) or 2 DR TREs (2 RSLs). In other words TCU can handle maximum of 4 Eq. FR RSLs• TCU can handle maximum of 3 OMLs.

12 E1 links per GP board for all cases

(*) OPTION: As no extension possible for MFS in rack shared, options 14 x E1per GP or 16 x E1 per GP are proposed then maximum number of GP is limited to 8 GP instead of 9 GP.

Dimensioning rules regarding E1 links per GP

One GP board can support:- 12 E1 links per GP board for all cases- up to 16 external links (A-ter + Gb), with a maximum of 16 GP board per MFS. - When the number of GP boards in the MFS is more than 16, the number of external links per GP is limited, so that the total number of links per MFS is not exceeded (12 per GP for the maximum MFS configuration of 21 GP). - The maximum number of links from one GP board to the SGSN is 8.
