by 67% will hurt small businesses and the
jobs they create.

Small businesses - are the backbone of New York State’s economy. In addition to employing 3.9 million people across the state, Comptroller DiNapoli’s report found that New York’s 451,000 small businesses generate more than $950 billion in annual revenues.
Those figures are remarkable considering that New York’s small businesses pay some of the highest property taxes, energy taxes and health care costs in the nation.
However, a 67% minimum wage increase is a burden that will put these valuable businesses out of business.
