High Tech Middle North County Facility

Recently completed, High Tech Middle North County is the newest and most energy effi-cient school in the growing High Tech High (HTH) portfolio. This LEED Platinum project was constructed at an amazingly low cost while achieving many of the outstanding envi-ronmental design and construction goals.

HTH selected MV Automation’s technology to provide continuous building energy perfor-mance verification and analysis. The user friendly MV Auto™ Dashboard, installed in a kiosk in the lobby, provides students, teachers and visitors the opportunity to observe and learn about the impact of basic, daily opera-tional decisions on energy consumption for lighting and air-conditioning systems, plug loads and on-site solar photovoltaic electricity

generation, as well as monitoring the facility’s ongoing energy carbon foot print.

“The MV Auto system is part of HTM North County’s continual improvement process, providing real-time, reliable data to inform our energy management efforts. The MV Auto sys-tem seamlessly integrates with our Building Automation System and automatically adjusts mechanical and lighting systems to help re-duce energy costs. The easy to understand, monthly reports have been instrumental in helping identify anomalies, so that we can address them in a timely fashion.” Christopher Gerber – Director of Facilities High Tech Middle School - North County

MV Aut o ™ The Wounded Warrior Campus at Camp Pendleton is the 1st Marine Corps project to be awarded the US Green Building Council’s highest level of environmental design and construction recognition: LEED Platinum certification. Designed by CSCA Architects, the 3 building campus was con-structed by Balfour Beatty Construction, under the direction of Naval Facilities Engi-neering Command Southwest. MV Auto’s energy utilization and analysis technology was selected to provide real time systems data, with the goal of reduc-ing energy usage and controlling costs. These efforts, along with the many other environmentally sustainable design features, help make this campus a leading national example of responsible construction and ongoing ener-gy efficient operations.

As an international leader in the building indus-try, Balfour Beatty has a reputation for con-structing some of the best, energy efficient and ecologically responsible projects. When design-ing their new, LEED-CI Gold certified, San Die-go corporate offices, they selected MV Automa-tion’s technology to provide real time building energy systems monitoring and analysis. MV Auto’s Dashboard, located in the firm’s lobby, allows staff, visitors and clients to observe real time building energy usage. Not only does the

MV Auto system help conserve energy and control costs, it serves as a testament to Balfour Beatty’s commitment to corporate environmental sustainability.

“The MV Auto tool is performing perfectly; it

gives us real time and historical data to see our energy usage and modify our behaviors to better manage our costs and efficiency. It’s not just theoretical, it works” - Sean Hulen, LEED AP BD+C, Vice President
