Scope of Work:

The purpose of this report is to present actual operating conditions of M/V Caribena as per owner’s instruction after a visual inspection of on board equipment.

Pictures and comments report presentation of outstanding items to be correct in way to maintain vessel in operating conditions.

Analysis and recommendations on immediate and long terms maintenance projections included.

Analysis:Vessel in good condition with a lot of maintenance work to be accomplished.

Dry Docking may be needed for underwater propulsion system repairs since vibration problems are present at Port Side Propulsion Tailshaft.

Tailsaft lateral movements are visible at packing area with vibration at rudder quadrant at low revolutions. Look like rudder cutlass bearing at rudder post has to be replaced and alignment of main engine will be required.

Upper deck seats are been renew.

Windows water leaks through passenger and pilot house.

Vessel in good overall conditions.

After deck bitt double plate welded to Main Deck has squared corner - remove, cut radius, and reinstall.

Generator No. 1 (Port) troubleshoot to determine why it will stop when Main Generator Breaker at Main Switch Board is turn to off position.

Main Engine No. 2 (Stbd) cooling water to wet exhaust pipe manifold at after bulkhead renewal, including internal spray nozzle. Insulate as required after repairs and testing.

Clean bilges by removing all gratings, scraping, vacuum, pressure wash, disposal of generated waste oily water material.

Fire Pump water seal renewal.

Bilge Pump water seal renewal.
