ASSOCIATED STUDENTS INTER-CLUB COUNCIL Meeting # 1 - Feb. 5, 1980 MINUTES

I. The meeting was called to order at 12:11 pm.

II. The following clubs had no reps present: Alpha Gamma Sigma, Backgammon Club, BSU, Chess Players, El ectronics Club, Forestry Club, Happy Hat Club, Horse­back Riding, Kundalini Yoga, Open Door Club, Respiratory, Run for Fun, Scien­tology, Ski Club.

III . The agenda was appr oved.

IV. The minutes were approved.

- at this point, m/s/c to suspend the rules to go to Ad hoc Committees Item A - - - - - (see Ad hoc Committees for item)

v. Reports:

a. Kathi Smidt and David Herrington welcomed all new and past members and thanked them for participating in ICC.

b. A representitive from the March of Dimes encouraged all members to par­ticipate in the Super Walk this year.

c. David told members of some new ideas for this semester, such as ICC T­shirts, the folders for club reps. David also told members to please fill out the club information sheets, and to keep track of club points for the Best Club Award.

VI. Club Constitutions:

a. m/s/c to accept Students for Political Change (Bruce McPherson advisor).

at this point, m/s/c to suspend rules and go to Money Making Requests Item A - - - - (see Money Making Requests for items)

VII . Ad hoc Committees:

a . m/s/c to accept Birth Parent as a recognized Ad hoc Committee on campus .

VIII. Old Business:

a. Dave Thomas told members of his plan to set up a committee to write a proposal to submit to the Board dealing with Flea Markets on campus. His idea is to schedule a bi - annual event for all club members to participate in, and to have it be part of the calendar of events each semester. In­terested members were asked to come back with input at the next meeting.

a. David announced that the Flea Market Policy has been accepted by various administrators, and may be going to the Board. b. Kathi thanked all those who participated in the Country Faire, and that the ICC Banner well be done by Skating Zanies. c. The ICC rep to CSA reported on Mondays meeting.

The mee ting was called to order at 12:10 pm. The following clubs had no reps present: Aggies, Electronics Club , Gay Students , German Club, Native Americans, United Federation of Trekkers, People for Political Change. The agenda was approved. The minutes were approved. Reports:

a. David asked f or Day Under the Oaks tour guides. b. Kathi made sure members had Best Club Award Guidelines, and that they were unde~stood. c. David asked for Election volunteers. d. Eric Ande rson reported to members the NO on 9 progress, and told them about upcoming debates and other activities. e. Dan Re ynolds reported on Conscientious Objectors. f. David repo rted that t he Flea Market Policy well go to the Board of Trustees next mon t h .

I. The meeting was called to order at 12:15 pm.

II. The following clubs had no reps present: Electronics Club, French Club, Gay Students, Kundalini Yoga, Hecha, Wargamers, PPC, and Greystone.

III. The agenda was approved.

IV. The minutes for Meetings 13 and 14 were approved.

V. Reports:

a. Gene suggested that all clubs appoint somebody to start the club up again in the fall.

VI. Appointments: none

VII. Club Constitutions: none

VIII. Ad hoc Committees:

a. m/s/c to approve the Committee to elect Brian Kahn - David Herrington advisor.

IX. Old Business:

a. m/s/c to approve Greystones off campus speaker request date change from 5/23 to 5/30.

b. David reported on the Flea Market Policy.

X. New Business:

a. Mr. Canevari talked about all the clubs that applied for the Best Club Award then announced that the Skating Zanies were the winners. Students for Constructive Change won a certificate of mention.

b. Bill Hadaway presented some awards to members of the Skating Zanies and to David Herrington.

c. Gene, David, and Kathi all gave final notes about the year and thanks to all members.
