INVESTORS WITH REFERENCE TO MUTUAL FUNDS
NEED FOR THE STUDY
To study the various factors affecting the investors for investing in mutual
funds.
To know the level of awareness about various investment methods and
investors overall preference towards mutual funds.
This study also tries to identify the possible measure to increase the
investors interest towards mutual funds
SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The scope of the study is to analyze and interpret the investment pattern and
preference of various investment methods.
The research records around a general awareness level and precaution
towards mutual funds.

investors preference towards mutual fund sector and the various mutual fund
scheme.
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
To find all the investment patterns of investors and their preference towards
mutual funds.
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES
To find out the investors objective of investment.
To know the time frequency of the investors while investing.
To find out the investors preference towards mutual fund sectors and
schemes.
To find out the reason for investing in mutual Funds and reason for not
investing in mutual funds
To find out the satisfaction level of service provided by karvy

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
INTRODUTION
Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem
is to how research is done scientifically. It consists of the different steps that are
generally adopted by a researcher to study his research problem along with logic
behind them. It is necessary for the researcher to develop certain tests.
5.1 RESEARCH DESIGN
Research design is a plan, structured to answer whom, when, where and
how of the subject under investigation conceived so as to obtain answers to
research questions. Here in order to meet the research objectives, descriptive
research design is used.

DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH DESIGN
It is undertaken when the researcher wants to know the characteristics of
certain friars such as age, gender, education level, income, occupation etc.
The study, which is carried out, is descriptive in nature, because the research
is done after an analysis of the problem and the survey, which is followed in order
to collect primary data.
5.2 DATA COLLECTION METHOD

Primary data consists of original information collected for specific purpose
in the study, primary data has been used. To obtain this primary data, a well-
structured questionnaire, personal interview and survey method has been
conducted.

Secondary data consists of information that already exists in the fact sheet,
journals and website of the companies.

5.3 SAMPLING DESIGN
Sampling
Sampling is the process of selecting a sufficient number of elements from
the population, so that a study of sample and an understanding of its properties or
characteristics would make it possible for us to generalize such properties or
characteristics to the population elements.
Sampling size
The total numbers of respondents are termed as sample size. The sample size
for this analysis is 200 respondents.
SAMPLING UNIT
The sampling unit for this analysis includes investors of Karvy stock
broking company limited

Sampling method /procedure is about How respondents should be chosen.
The sampling procedure that was adopted in the research was non- probability and
convenient sampling

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
Questionnaire
In this method, a questionnaires is sent to the persons concerned with the
request to answer the questions and return the questionnaire. A questionnaire
consists of number of questions printed or typed in a definite order on a form.
In the research close ended questions were used were used.
