How’s everyone doing?
I’ve been very fortunate myself and have been
working as normal all this time.
Not to get carried away too much but I believe
this is a bunch of baloney. No mask for me and no
vaccination either when the time comes, as I have
absolutely no concern whatsoever of this virus. No
different then all others that have happened over
the years and will continue down the road. I’m
breathing fresh oxygen and not spent carbon dioxide
and I’m enjoying great sunshine to kept my natural
immunity up as God intended when He created us.
Boy I sure wish I had more spirited initiative in
grade school to call out this stupid evolution theory
and tell the teacher no thanks, I don’t need to learn
that nonsense. Anyway as a very wise older lady
once told me “Don’t expect everyone else to think
like you”, it was my mother, so I don’t, and everyone
can think and act as they want during these times.
The board has met these last two months and
one thing we talked in length about was trying to
get something going so that the club doesn’t drift off
into oblivion, so as you see the different reports we
do have ideas unfolding. Hope to see you all soon.

a restaurant named Culver’s 5330 W 72nd Ave to eat then off to Bob’s to give
him an award we are having made to show our appreciation for his 40 years of
support and membership to the club around 2:00 approx.
Dining at this time is to go only so we may have to eat outside in our cars
or eat yourself before and just meet there to gather up for the driveby to Bob’s.
parade and show Lowen has been working on Horesfeathers and we will have one no matter
what but it will be only club members 40 cars or so, much smaller scale with
limited awards, probably no t-shirts or silent auction. Belmar just opened back
up and they are not having their usual events so not sure at this time if we can
go there, but we will find a place to at least keep the streak alive and we will
have dash plaques.
We also have a planned event for July but its a secret at this time so you’ll
just have to wait.
Also the cruise is still on for September and Darrell and Jon are still looking for
anyone who would like to sign up.

Mustang street news
mustanG mach 1 returninG For
2021 model year
With speed, style and a name that embodies
both, Ford today announces the Mustang Mach 1 is
roaring back to life this year, with its debut coming
this spring.
The iconic fastback coupe that debuted during
the first golden era of muscle cars in the late-1960s
now returns for global Mustang enthusiasts looking
for the epitome of naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8
performance in a new golden age of power as a
new choice in the lineup of the world’s best-selling
sports car.
“Mach 1 has a special place in Mustang history,
and it’s time for this special edition to claim the
top spot in our 5.0-liter V8 performance lineup and
reward our most hardcore Mustang enthusiasts
who demand that next level of power, precision
and collectability,” said Dave Pericak, director, Ford
Icons. “Like the original, the all-new Mustang Mach
1 will be true to its heritage, delivering great looks
and as the most track-capable 5.0-liter Mustang
ever.”
Continuing the legacy of Mach 1
Mach 1 debuted for the 1969 model year and
immediately carved out its place in the Mustang
lineup, delivering performance and improved
dynamics with its GT handling suspension. In
the years that followed, Mach 1 saw improved
performance versus Mustang GT and was more
attainable than Shelby and Boss variants.
“Mach 1 has always been that bridge between
base Mustangs and the Shelby models,” said Ted
Ryan, heritage brand manager, Ford Archives. “From
a style and handling perspective, the original Mach
1 managed to stand out as unique, even in the
Mustang lineup – and as the name implies, it could
really move.”
Two years after its debut, Mach 1 with its
competition suspension hit the streets in 1971 longer
and larger than the original, with an assortment of
powerful engine options. In 1974, Mach 1 again
saw major changes, reimagined for the first time
as a hatchback. This Mach 1 generation enjoyed a
five-year run and beefed up its handling capabilities
more with an optional Rallye Suspension Package.
Mach 1 returned for 2003 and 2004 model
years, blending modern power with the nostalgia
of 1970s-era Mach 1 design elements. Its unique
Mach 1 handling suspension with larger Brembo
front-disc brakes improved on-road performance,
while its matte black spoiler and hood stripe helped
the coupe standout.
Seventeen years later, the all-new 2021 Mustang
Mach 1 is set to return as the most track-ready
5.0-liter Mustang ever, once again delivering design
magic while adding to its performance legacy.

rememberinG Gale halderman I was saddened to hear of the passing of a great Mustang hero. In 2015, while
headed to the Grand National Show in Columbus, Ohio, Wes and I, along with our
wives, stopped in Tipp City, Ohio to spend a couple of hours with Gale in his Barn
Museum. After touring the museum, we spent time in his lounge listening to his
interesting stories. I feel very fortunate to have spent that private time with him.
He will certainly be missed in the Mustang Community.

EVENTinFo
Sept, 19-20th
This years event will be held September 19-20th. As in previous
years the event is a mystery as to where we will be going. You
will given driving directions at the starting point and at every stop
along the way. At each stop we will be pulling cards for awards
for best poker hand at the last stop. We will have plenty of trivia
questions, games, and activities to enjoy with 1 or 2 events along
the way.
We will make every attempt to keep prices as reasonable as
possible and until we have all the details hammered out we can
not give you a final price but will keep the total cost to $300 or
less for a couple. If more than 2 people will be in your party please
let us know and we will let you know the added cost. In order to
start making plans we do need to get people to register as soon
as possible and put down a deposit of $100.
This has been a wonderful time in the past couple of years
for each person to learn a little more about each club member
and have a great time traveling and spending time with everyone.
Please consider joining us this year and if you have any questions
please contact Jon/Donna Medin or Darrell/Carla Schwartzkopf.
Hints as to what AFCWGCCPAS will be provided at our monthly
