I had to choose 3 video’s similar to my genre and I have chosen:
1. Lovin’ Each Day – Ronan Keating
2. Parklife – Blur
3. Buddy Holly - Weezer

Lovin’ Each Day
The opening to this song has 9 different cuts in the first 10 seconds. There is 2 scenes, the dusty road in which Keating is seen walking down (1), and the packed bar in which Keating is seen performing in (2). Long shots are used to set the scene (1) and mid shots are used when Keating is singing into the camera (3). This shows a difference in scenes, one performance, the other narrative. The video shows a man (Keating) loving his time in the west of America, having fun riding motor bikes etc (4). The narrative fits with the lyrics.

ParklifeParklife is a song by britpop band Blur and features
singing/spoken word by Cockney actor Phil Daniels. In the video he is a salesman (3), who is talking about the park. Throughout the video other band members make cameos dressed as different people (2). The song is very light humoured. The videos contains lots of unusual shots for the genre (1) however it works well as it makes the video very different and whacky. Similar to Lovin’ Each Day, Parklife also has lots of shots in quick concession however unlike Lovin’ Each Day it combines narrative and performance.

Buddy HollyThe video shows the band Weezer playing at Arnold’s Drive-in
diner (1). This is from the 70’s TV show Happy Days. The video combines footage from the show and footage from the band, and at the end has Fonzie dancing to it (2). Original cast member Al Molinaro makes a cameo at the start (3) and like Amarillo the video makes you want to see what is going to happy next. The video is shot similar to a old television recording from the 60’s (4) this is due to the genre and idea
behind the video.
