MUSIC TEACHERS OF HYDE PARK 21st ANNUAL SUMMER ENSEMBLE FEST for winds, strings and piano Coaches include: Lizbeth Bistrow teaches violin, viola, music theory, and directs a string orchestra for Merit School of Music. Beth has a BA in music; MA in musicology; a post MA in PhD program, and completed course work in music theory at the University of Chicago. Irene Claude teaches flute at St. Giles School, Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, Saint Xavier University, South Suburban College and at her home studio in Hyde Park. She is a member of Lake Forest Symphony and is a Music Together teacher for Marsha’s Music. Irene is a graduate of the University of Michigan and DePaul University. Meg Lauterbach teaches cello at St. Paul and the Redeemer church and in the western suburbs. She is a member of Suzuki Association of the Americas and Music Teachers of Hyde Park, and maintains an active performing schedule in both classical and improvised styles. Meg is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and Roosevelt University. What participants in Summer Ensemble Fest say about the program: “My daughter still talks fondly about the MTHP Summer Ensemble Fest. It was, by far and away, her favorite activity of the summer. She’s already excited about next year, and it’s only February!” “MTHP encourages students to expand their horizons, and learn to perform a broad range of music with peers. I recommend the Summer Ensemble Fest program to you enthusiastically.” “SEF is FUN!
