Benefit Concert for Music Matters Music Matters is hosting a Benefit Concert in the beautiful and historic surroundings of the Dublin Unitarian Church, St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2 Sunday 17th May, 2.00 - 5.00 PM We have a fantastic line-up - guaranteed to provide an afternoon of toe-tapping entertainment! The High Hopes Choir (as seen on RTE 1) Newpark Senior Tours Orchestra The Flukey Ukes Ossia Youth Choir Mariachi San Patricio And Soloists from Music Matters Tickets: 12 each or Family Tickets: 25 All tickets include one free raffle entry As part of the Bealtaine Festival, which celebrates older people in our community - we are encouraging people to bring an older person along for a bargain OAP ticket price of 10so invite your granny, grandad, neighbour, along to this great gig! All proceeds raised will benefit Music Matters Inclusive Community Choirs. Our many choral projects support people with and without disabilities, those from various cultural, social and economic backgrounds, older people and those with dementia and members of the LGBT community
New Choir for older people and those with dementia
Dublin City Council and St Agnes Community Centre for Music & the Arts are delighted to
announce the creation of a new community choir open to those living in the Dublin 12 area
This fun choir will run for 16 weeks initially and is for older people, with a particular welcome for
people with dementia or memory loss, their family members, neighbours or friends. The choir
will be directed by Grinne OGrady

Table Quiz Thank You for your support On Thursday 16th April, Music Matters had our first ever Table Quiz at The Black Sheep, Capel St, Dublin 1
Our Quiz-Master for the evening was Dave Flood, who joined us as Assistant Musical Director, 4 months ago. Dave is also Musical Director of Fingal Gospel Choir some of their members took part in the quiz. We were also delighted to have so many of our members, their families, our volunteers, our friends and supporters coming along we got a full house!
We would like to thank all our sponsors: Petermark, TGI Fridays, Hard Rock Caf, Powerscourt Waterfall, Lambert Puppet Theatre and The Carphone Warehouse for sponsoring such fabulous prizes. Thank you to our volunteers Lorraine and Grinne for getting these prizes. Thanks a million to Dave for being a fantastic super enthusiastic quiz master tonight, for Elaine for all her usual wonders with admin & social media, to Sabrina our brilliant super friendly jack-of-all-trades volunteer and to the talented, committed Rachel Gallen for her wonderful work on our new website & for her photography skills!

New Transgender Community Choir The first rehearsal for our new Transgender Community Choir recently took place at Dublin City University. We would like to thank Dr Mel Duffy and Dr Briege Casey, from DCU School of Nursing & Human Sciences, for their invaluable support and facilitating the development of this choir believed to be the first of its kind in Europe New members are welcome to join at any time NO previous musical experience or audition necessary!
