R&B Survey

I put a survey on to facebook about R&B and also magazines in generall and here are my results

These were the first two questions I asked. The top result was Females aged 15-25 liked R&B. This will be who I aim my magazine at.

I then asked whether they knew what it is and whether they liked it. The results were that 100% of the people knew what it was but only 50% liked it.

I then asked what kind of artists they think of when they hear the words R&B?These are the kind of answers they came up with:

This shows me the kind of artists, that the people the magazine will be aimed at, listen to and know. So that when producing my front cover I can look at some of the styles these people take on.

Q6&7

I asked people whether they do read music magazines and 30% said yes and 70% said no. Interestingly the all the people who said they did read music magazines were in my 15-25 year audience age.Also I asked: What attracts them to buy magazines? These were the answers I got:

A lot of the answers are to do with the front cover and whether the artist appeals them and things like that so I will pay close attention to what I put on the front cover.

I then finally asked what kind of colours would attract someone to buy a magazine, the options I gave and results wereBright colours- 30%

Bold Colours- 60%

Dark Colours- 20%

Random Colours-20%

Matching Colours-40% This shows that people would rather look at Bold colours, which I would consider as Blue, Red, Green e.t.c, as opposed to bright colours
