WHO ARE THE SCORPIONS

• SCORPIONS ARE A GERMAN ROCK BAND FORMED IN 1965 IN HANOVER BY RUDOLF SCHENKER. SINCE THE BAND'S INCEPTION, ITS MUSICAL STYLE HAS RANGED FROM HARD ROCK TO HEAVY METAL.

• 50 YEARS HAVE GONE BY SINCE THE DAYS THE JUVENILE KLAUS MEINE, RUDOLF SCHENKER AND MATTHIAS JABS WANDERED THE STREETS OF HANNOVER, WHICH WAS JUST AWAKENING FROM POST WAR PARALYSIS, WITH A BARROW CARRYING THEIR INSTRUMENTS AND AMPLIFIERS. IN THESE 50 YEARS, THEY HAVE BECOME GERMANY’S, OR RATHER CONTINENTAL EUROPE’S MOST SUCCESSFUL ROCK BAND, THE LIVING PROOF THAT NOT ONLY VW, MERCEDES OR BMW ARE ABLE TO COMPETE INTERNATIONALLY, BUT CLASSIC ROCK MUSIC MADE IN GERMANY AS WELL. COUNTLESS BANDS, INCLUDING THE SMASHING PUMPKINS AS WELL AS GREEN DAY, KORN, SYSTEM OF A DOWN OR QUEENSRYCHE HAVE COVERED SONGS BY THE SCORPIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. “ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE” ON ITS OWN WAS COVERED OVER 150 TIMES BY DIFFERENT MUSICIANS.

WHAT IS A MUSIC CAMPAIGN

• A STRATEGY USED BY AN ARTIST TO HELP THEM PROMOTE THEIR MUSIC THROUGH MARKETING. THEY DO THIS BY RELEASING ALBUMS, WEBSITES AND MUSIC VIDEOS. AS WELL BY PERFORMING AT CONCERTS WHO ARE WATCHED BY AUDIENCES WORLDWIDE.

• THE AIM IS TO MAKE PROFIT FROM THE ARTIST BY A MUSIC CAMPAIGN.

THE TARGET AUDIENCE FOR ROCK MUSIC AS YOU CAN SEE, THE MAJORITY IS 16-25 YEAR OLDS. HOWEVER AS WELL A LARGE SECTION IS 60+. THIS SHOWS THAT THE BAND HAS A WIDE AGE RANGE.

• THE LINK WITH ALL THE PRODUCTS IS THAT THEY ALL USE THE SAME DESIGN OF IT BEING DARK BY USING BLACK. AS WELL AS USING FIRE TO ENHANCE THEIR EDGY DARK STYLE.

• ALL THE MEMBERS DRESS VERY SIMILAR BY WEARING DARK CLOTHING WITH LEATHER, THIS HELPS ENHANCE THERE IMAGE BY THEM LOOKING LIKE BEING PART OF A GROUP.

• THERE IS A CLEAR IMAGE THAT THE BAND WANTS TO CONVEY FOR THE AUDIENCE AS BEING A TRUE HARD ROCK BAND.

WHEN I WENT TO THEIR CONCERT…

IDEOLOGY BY GOING TO ONE OF THERE CONCERTS BEFORE, I CAN SAY THAT THE BAND WANT TO KEEP THE LOVE OF ROCK GOING AND BY CREATING A UNION FOR PEOPLE WHO COME FROM DIFFERENT PLACES TO ENJOY THERE MUSIC AND PASSION.

THEY ARE A OLD BAND FROM THE 60’S AND THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED A LOT SINCE THEN. THEY HAVE KEPT THERE STYLE AND HAVE A STRONG FAN BASE.
