The Museum of Emotion is the first museum

in America devoted to this theme. It is target

to men and women from 18 to 35 years old,

but all ages all welcomed. It invites all visitors:

residents and turist to be aware of identifying

different states of mind and provides unique

experience of interacting with a lot of different

sensations. The museum is described as edgy,

atmospheric, interactive and entertaining. It’s

complex in color, graphics and sound. The

museum welcomes all cultures since its all

races relate to the same emotions.

As a company the first objective of Museum of

Emotion it to earn profit. Exceed a 10 million of

visitors per year and become number five top

tourist destinations in NYC. Competing next

to well-known museums as Moma and Met. It

is meant to create awareness in visitors and

make them recognize and assess their own

emotions. In addition of entertain and inspire

them. The second goal of the museum is to

eventually expand to Los Angeles.

It is located in the heart of Soho, Manhattan,

New York City. It is walking distance from the

subway, restaurants and shopping area. New

York City is the perfect place for the museum

of Emotion since is a metropolis and creates

a great impact in the United States. According

to the US Travel this city the top destination in

the USA preferred by tourists due to its many

attractions: monuments, museums, parks and

arts. Also New York City received 48.8 millions

of visitors in the past year. For 2012 and 2013

is predicted to be around 50 millions.

Museum of Emotion is meant to provide the

experience of different feelings, sensations

and emotions through rooms filled out of a

variety of colors, textures, lights, music and

words, quotes, typography, videos, abstract

shapes, among other designs. The visitors

will leave the museum with a positive attitude

that will make them want to return. Every time

they visit the museum they will get a new

experience. The museum It is the perfect

place where people can connect with them

and experience different feelings at once.

PERMANENT EXHIBITION

The museum has six main exhibitions: The Joy

room, the curiosity room, the peaceful room,

the anger room, and the depression room. The

permanent exhibition is composed of three (3)

positive and 3 negative emotions so the visitor

has a broad understanding of sensations. The

main idea of each room is to convey and show

the feelings with abstract designs and images

so when the person approaches the rooms

there are no objectives thoughts. Besides all

the designs there will be a variety of realistic

photography to impact the viewer.

MUSEUM STORE

The store museum provides the visitors the

option of living the installations with a great

memory of their experience. Basic souvenirs

are selling at the store like posters, calendars,

coasters, postcards and notepads.

UPCOMING EXHIBITION

Besides the permanent collection there will be

travelling exhibition and special events held at

the museum. The travelling exhibitions include

the finest photographers, painters, films and

writers. The special events include night outs,

fashion, concerts and summer events. Some of

the night events are scary nights. The fashion

night out invites trendy designers and fashion

houses for shows. Also hosts concerts and a

music event inviting trendy artists to play.

The Museum of Emotion has three floors. In the first floor there is

the main entrance followed by the room of Mixed emotions, the

café-bar and the museum store. The room of Mixed emotions is a

neutral room visitors will enter to blank their minds and start their

journeys without any previous sensations. In the second floor

there is the room of fear, the room of excitement and peaceful

room. In the third floor there is the room of depression, the room

of anger and the room of joy.
