Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers

يم� ح� الر� م�ن� ح الر� الل�ه� م� ب�س

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

ى �له� ا

My Allah


ع�ن ن� �ل س� اال ت� ر� ق�ص�ي�ل�ي ق� ا ك�م� ث�ن�آئ�ك� ب�ل�وغ�

ل�ك� ال� tongues fall short ofب�ج�attaining praise of Thee proper to Thy majesty,


ع�ن و ل� ال ع�ق� ت� ز� ع�ج� و�ال�ك� م� ج� ك�ن ه� اك� �د ر� ا

intellects are incapable of grasping the core of Thy

beauty,


د�و ن� ار� �ب ص� اال ت� ر� ان ح�س� و�ات� ب ح� س� ا�لى الن�ظ�ر�

ك� ه� eyes fail before gazing uponو�جthe glories of Thy face,


ا ط�ر�ي ق6 ل ق� ل�ل خ� ع�ل� ت�ج ل�م و�ز� ب�ال ع�ج ا�ال� ت�ك� ع ر�ف� م� ا�لى

ت�ك� ع ر�ف� م� and Thou hast assigned toع�نThy creatures no way to

know Thee save incapacity to know Thee!


ال�ذ�ي ن� م�ن� ع�ل ن�ا اج ف� ى �له� ا

My Allah, place us among those


و ق� الش� ار� ج� ا�ش ت خ� س� ت�ر�د�آئ�ق� ح� ف�ى �ل�ي ك� ا

د�و ر�ه�م ص�


within the gardens of whose breasts the trees of

yearning for Thee have taken firm root

ب�ت�ك� ح� م� ل�و ع�ة� ذ�ت ا�خ� و� م ب�ه� ل�و ق� ع� ام� ب�م�ج�


and the assemblies of whose hearts have been seized by the

ardour of Thy love!

ك�ار� �ف اال ك�ار� ا�و �لى ا م ه� ف�و�ون� ي�ا

They seek shelter in the nests of meditation,


و� ب� ر ال ق� ر�ي�اض� ف�ى و�ت�ع�و ن� ي�ر ة� ف� اش� كـ� ال م�

feed upon the gardens of nearness and disclosure,


ب�ك�اس� ب�ة� ح� ال م� ي�اض� ح� م�ن و�ع�و ن� ي�ك ر� ة� ط�ف� ال م�ال�


drink from the pools of love with the cup of gentle favour,

ات� اف� ال م�ص� اي�ع� ر� ش� و�ي�ر�د�و ن�

and enter into the watering-places of warm affection


ع�ن ال غ�ط�آء� ف� ك�ش� د ق� ار�ه�م �ب ص� ا

The covering has been lifted from their eyes


ع�ن ي ب� الر� ة� ظ�ل م� ل�ت ان ج� و� م آئ�ر�ه� م� ض� و� آئ�د�ه�م ع�ق�

the darkness of disquiet has been dispelled from their

beliefs and their innermost minds,


Wك الش� ة� ال�ج� خ� م� ن�ت ان ق� و� م آئ�ر�ه� ر� س� و� م ب�ه� ل�و ق� ع�ن

the contention of doubt has been negated from their hearts and their secret

thoughts,


ي ق� ق� ب�ت�ح ت ح� ر� ان ش� و� م ه� د�و ر� ص� ة� ع ر�ف� ال م�

their breasts have expanded through the verification of

true knowledge,


ع�أد�ة� الس� ب ق� ل�س� ع�ل�ت و� م ه� م� م� ه� اد�ة� ه� Wالز ف�ى

their aspirations have ascended through precedent good fortune in renunciation,


ع�ي ن� م� ف�ى ع�ذ�ب� و� م ب�ه� ر ش� ل�ة� ع�ام� ال م�

their drinking is sweet from the spring of devotion to good

works,


ل�س� ج م� ف�ى ط�اب� و� م ه� ر] س� �ن س� اال

their secret thoughts are delicious in the sitting-place of

intimacy,


و ط�ن� م� ف�ى ا�م�ن� و� م ب�ه� ر س� ة� اف� ال م�خ�

their minds are secure in the place of terror,


ا�لى و ع� ج� ب�الر] ا�ن�ت و�اط م� م ه� س� �ن ف� ا ب�اب� �ر اال Wب ر�

their souls are serene through the return to the

Lord of lords,


ح� ال� ال ف� و� و ز� ب�ال ف� ن�ت ت�ي�ق� و� م ه� و�اح� ا�ر

their spirits have reached certitude through triumph

and prosperity,


ا�لى ب�الن�ظ�ر� ت ر� ق� و� م ا�ع ي�ن�ه� م ب�ه� ب�و ح م�

their eyes have been gladdened through gazing

upon their Beloved,


و� ؤ ل� الس] اك� ب�ا�د ر� ر� ت�ق� و�اس م ه� ار� ر� ق� و ل� أم� ال م� ن�ي ل�

their settling place has been settled through reaching the

request and attaining the expectation,


الد]ن ي�ا ب�ي ع� ف�ى ب�ح�ت ر� و� م ت�ه� ار� ت�ج� ة� ر� خ� ب�اال

and their commerce has profited through the sale of

this world for the next!


ى �له� ا

My Allah,


ام� �ل ه� اال و�اط�ر� خ� �ل�ذ� ا ا م�ل�و ب� ال ق� ع�ل�ى ب�ذ�ك ر�ك�

how agreeable for hearts are the thoughts inspiring Thy

remembrance,


�ل�ي ك� ا ي ر� ال م�س� ل�ى ا�ح ا و�م�ال�ك� م�س� ف�ى ام� �و ه� ب�اال

how sweet travelling to Theeال غ�ي�و ب�through imagination upon

the roads of the unseen worlds,


بWك� ح� ط�ع م� ا�ط ي�ب� ا م� و�

how pleasant the taste of Thy love,


ب�ك� ر ق� ب� ر ش� ا�ع ذ�ب� ا و�م�

how delightful the drink of Thy nearness!


و� د�ك� ط�ر م�ن ذ ن�ا ا�ع� ف��ب ع�اد�ك� So give us refuge from Thyا

casting out and Thy sending far,


ن م� ع�ل ن�ا ج و�

and place us among


ي ك� ع�ار�ف� Wص�خ�ا

the most elect of Thy knowers,


ب�اد�ك� ع� ل�ح� ا�ص و�

the most righteous of Thy servants,


ط�آئ�ع�ي ك� د�ق� ا�ص و�

the most truthful of Thy obeyers,


ع�ب�اد�ك� ل�ص� ا�خ و�

the most sincere of Thy worshipers!


ل�ي ل� ج� ي�ا ع�ظ�ي م� ي�ا

O All-mighty, O Majestic,


ن�ي ل� م� ي�ا ك�ر�ي م� ي�ا

O Generous, O Endower!


م� ح� ا�ر ي�آ نWك� م� و� ت�ك� م� ح ب�ر�ي ن� م� اح� .الر�

By Thy mercy and kindness, O Most Merciful of the

merciful!
