Mumtaz Welfare Trust (MWT) is a social welfare organization and founded in the name of a mother, Mumtaz Begum (Late), funded by donations. The trust plans to be involved in every aspect of social / financial help that minimizes unevenness from society and from normal people’s life by providing them with basic needs. This trust is non-profit and has no political agenda. MWT is providing financial help to continuous struggle against poverty with self sufficiency, illiteracy with education, sicknesses with medical assistance and daughter’s marriages with basic needs. Mumtaz Welfare Trust is keeping an eye on all the projects / activities to make sure that all financial / moral assistance is generating positive results. All staff members and volunteers will evaluate the performance of every project / activity on regular basis that enable our trust members to make further decisions in right direction. To hold in trust and confidence, all donors will be informed accordingly of every projects / activities. We, therefore, invite all of you to join hands with us in this noble cause to make the people self-sufficient and give them a chance to live their lives as a respectable citizen.

Comments : Mr. Ashiq Ali is working as optician since last 15 years. Now a days, he

is running optical shop. MWT Team investigated and found him as genuine case. Fortunately he has a good clientage but due to lack of investment, he doesn’t have

enough material for sale. He needs sufficient stock of spectacles and frames of glasses. His shop also needs some renovation to attract the customers, he is hard working man and has two sons. He is living in a rental home and paying rent Rs.3000/month and shop's rent is Rs.2000/month. By the grace of Allah almighty, MWT comes forward to help him and made some renovation in his shop and purchased some material for his shop. MWT team hopes and prays that he will run his business and can live with his family happily, InshAllah.

Comments: Mr. Shukat Ali is an Ex-SOS Boy. Unfortunately he was not good in study that's why he could not complete even his matriculation and in between he has some family problems. He left SOS home and went back to his home land (Kashmir). After Earth-quack he lost every thing and came to Lahore with his wife. For the last two years, he is selling sweets and biscuits to kids around his localities on hand cart. But due to a little quantity, he could not earn enough to survive. After requesting of Mrs./ Suraia Anwar (President of SOS) MWT took step in this case.

Status: MWT Team purchased him in bulk, a complete variety of Sweets, Biscuits and other commodities mostly liked by children in RS 5,000. He is now very happy with his business and praying for MWT.

Comments : He is a middle-pass boy, His father is not supporting his family in any case. So he could not continue his study and because he was not willing to continue study. Now he is doing labor work with low labor charges. He showed his interest in driving. After Training he would need driving license but due to finance problem he can't make driving license, if Trust helps him and makes license for him then he can start his life independently.

Status: MWT arranged “Car Driving Training” for him and his License has been applied. Now he is a very good driver and looking for a good job and seeks very happy life in future.

Comments : Mr.Muhammad Riaz was working as machine operator in a shoe-making factory and he was well settled but unfortunately, due to a blast of hydraulic pump, he got serious injury on his left leg and become a disable person. He rested on bed for 5 years. Now after a long time, he is able to stand and walks with the help of sticks.. He has three daughters and one son. His son is working in a factory even at the age of 13 year and his daughters due to lack of finance doesn't go to school but only go for Quran study. Mr. Riaz approached MWT for financial help. He wants donkey-cart to sell onion & potato etc. on it so he can support his family. Currently his neighbors helped him to leave a alive. After investigation, Trust Team found him most deserving case.

Status: MWT took action on his request and our Team went market with him and bought him one donkey-cart and also bought a desired quantity of onions & potatoes for him to start his life with his own work. MWT costs a small amount of Rs.17,505/- but got a millions of prayers Alhamdulillah. Attention: Mr. Riaz’s has three daughters, all of them wish to continue their study. If any one wishes to sponsor one, two or all of them in their education, Please contact MWT.

Comments : Mr.Maqsood Ahmed belongs to a very poor family, he has 5 kids. All are school going children. He sells bakery items on a rental hand cart. These items on hand cart can only be sold in winter and in summer he does labor work merely that is on luck. In spite of all this, he has to pay Rs.70/-daily as rent for this hand cart. So he needs his own hand court so he can save rupees 2100/ Month from his total income. He is living in a rental home. After investigation, our team reports a very deserving case and suggest him to sell fruits in summer. First he denied that he doesn’t know how to sell fruits. Our team taught and motivated him and convinced him to sell fruits in summer and bakery items in winter.

Status : MWT Team bought him a hand cart and huge quantity of fruit RS 6,510. Now he is running his own small business and praying for MWT.

Comments : Mr. Shahan Ali is one of the poor students who desire to study more and more but can’t either start study or continue higher study due to lack of finance. He is a student of B.Com (Final Year). He is a very gentle boy but poor as well. He is very good in study. Trust team visited his college and gathered all information about his character and his attitude towards study. Trust also found that he was absent from the college for the last many days due to non payment (College Fee). In short, he has decided to stop study.

Status: On satisfactory report of our Trust Investigation Team, his college fee of Rs. 8,200/- has been paid in due course. Mr. Shahan and his family is very happy and he has started preparation of his final exam with full concentration without any blink of non-payment of fee. Alhamdulillah.

Comments: Ali Hussain is a very brilliant boy. He belongs to a very poor family living in a rural area near Shekhupura. He is only the student from the whole village who is struggling to become a doctor. He is doing M.B.B.S (third year), from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore. His Father is working farmer, first two years he continued his education with extra income by part time teaching, but now his study has become more complicated and he cant spare time for teaching but to concentrate his study. So he needs financial help to pay off his hostel fee. He submitted application to principal of college which was rejected because he already had been getting relief on college fee. His hostel fee is Rs.24,650/-. Trust team visited his home (Shekhupura) and meet his family, watched his home condition, investigated surroundings neighbors and also from his old class fellow, Team founded that Ali Hussain is going to be proud of his whole village. So Trust should help him to make him a sole doctor in the whole village.Status: MWT paid his annual hostel fee. Now he is continuing his study with fully tension free atmosphere. One of our Trustees, Mr. Seerat Abbas Syed is inspired a lot of this brilliant student and committed to sponsor him till completion of his study InshAllah.

She is a brilliant student but due to financial problem she can't buy a personal computer for home, resultantly she gets low marks in her class.

Comments : Mr. Javeed's Mother Mrs./Sharifan Bibi is Patient of Gall Bladder ( PITTA). They come from Khushaab. They tried to get free medical treatment from Jinah Hospital, but they failed. Someone told them about MWT. So they contacted us medical treatment.

Status: MWT Team met them and take appointment with specialized doctor. On his prescription, Trust made different blood tests, ultra sound and some ex-rays. After complete check-up of all tests of Sharifan Bibi, Doctor suggest some medicines for her. After complete treatment, they were ready to go back to their home happily but they found no money for fare. Trust also arranged their journey to their homeland.

Comments : Mr.Ateeq ur Rehman is a chest patient. He got his medical treatment from Jinah Hospital few months before. For the last few days, he is unable get free medicines resultantly he got more pain in chest and got severe cough and with blood vomiting. Some one referred him MWT. Now he again has to get re-check-up from Jinah Hospital continues and proper doze of medicines. Trust team visited his home and found him a deserving case.

Status: MWT arranged re-checkup from a specialist doctor and bought him all medicines on doctor’s prescription. Now he has started taking medicines and seeking good health. He will get soon InshAllah.

Comments : Mrs. Zarien Ilyas is an ex-girl of SOS Village. She got married with Mr. Muhammad Ilyas who is Born-Blind person. He is a Religious person and earns some amount by teach QURAN to children in his locality. They don’t have any other source of income. Some time her neighbors do some financial help for them. She has 4 daughters. Three daughters studying in school. Our team visited her, met her whole family, and found that they need urgent and only finical help on monthly basis to survive.

Status: MWT Team sends such cases to our honorable Trustees and Donors for a complete sponsorship or a part. One of our Trustees, Mr. Seerat Abbas Syed, after knowing all the details of this case, comes forward and takes responsibility for her whole family on monthly bases. Now he starts paying them Rs.15,000/- per month. Mrs./Zarien and his family now so happy and praying a lot for MWT and Mr. Seerat Abbas Syed.

Hope you like our efforts. But this is our start and in these projects we learned a lot, which help us to improve in future, MWT is fully committed to continue our struggle to fight against poverty. Hope
