The complex whole which includes knowledge, belief, arts, morals, law, custom and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of society (Kottak, 2009)
WHAT IS CULTURE?
WHAT IS MULTICULTURAL? of, relating to, reflecting, or
adapted to diverse cultures
WHAT IS MULTICULTURALISM?
is the recognition and acceptance of human diversity. It gives equal status to different ethnic, racial and cultural groups. (Moghaddam, 2008)
an academic and applied discipline that involves the scientific study of mental functions and behaviors.
WHAT IS PSYCHOLOGY?
CROSS-CULTURAL PSYCHOLOGY IS..
is the study of culture’s role in understanding behaviour, thought and emotion. (Bullock, 2013)
Cross cultural psychologists compare the nature of psychological process in different cultures with a particular focus on whether psychological phenomena are unusual or culture-specific.
