The Maxwell 5000 series Multi Function Control unit is a highly versatile and easy to control system, specifically designed for radio control tanks. With its compact dimensions, measuring at only 78 x 62 x 26.7 mm, the Maxwell 5000 series control unit can be fitted inside any 1/16 scale radio control tanks.

Unlike conventional control systems being used in general radio control tanks, its weapon and mechanical sound effects are identical across different model of radio control tanks. Having that said, the highlighted feature of the Maxwell 5000 series control system is the ability to play authentic weapons and mechanical sound effects of specific tank models. (subject to availability)

For example, the Maxwell MCU-5001, Tiger 131 edition, its engine and other mechanical sound effects are recorded from the actual Tiger 1, 131 tank used in World War 2, and the tank is now being preserved by the Bovington Tank Museum in the United Kingdom. The MG-34 Machine gun sound effect was recorded from a real gun using a high quality 44KHz sampling sound recording device.

Waltersons Industry has encountered many difficulties during the recording process, since most tanks on our wish list are locating on various museums across the world. We are, however still intending to further expand the Maxwell model range in the future, driven by passion and our slogan, "Give your tanks a real soul", we want to provide users with a high level of authenticity while operating their radio control tanks.

2. Safety precautions

Do not place the Maxwell 5000 series control unit near excessive heat such as fireplace etc.... high temperature can cause the control unit to malfunctionDo not remove the Maxwell 5000 series PCBA Circuit from its plastic casing because once the PCBA Circuit is exposed to the internal structure of the tank, potential contamination might enter the surface of the PCBA Circuit, and thus, it might cause the short circuit problem from PCBA.Do not apply pressure towards the hexagon shaped metal sticker on top of the Maxwell 5000 series control unit casing. Excessive preasure being exerted on the metal sticker may cause the internal cooling fan to malfunction. Check all cable polarity before plugging into the systemDo not apply voltage higher than 9.6V to the control unit, it may cause the control unit to get overheated, and in worst case, it may permanently damage the control unit.

5. Setting up the system (Airsoft Version)Make sure the power cable switch is set in the Off positionConnect the power cable as shown in figure 5.1

Connect the left motor cable as shown in figure 5.2

Connect the right motor cable as shown in figure 5.3

make sure polarity of the cable must be strictly followed*

Notice that smoker port is a 3 pin terminal, and your smoker cable is a 2 pin terminal. Insert the smoker cable into the left 2 pins.

Connect the airsoft recoil trigger cable from turret as shown in figure 5.10

Once all cables have been inserted, put the power cable switch back to the On position. After that the head lamp will begin to flash, and it will stay on when engine activation signal is being sent from the transmitter.

6. Setting up the system (Infrared Battle Version)Make sure the power cable switch is set in the Off position. Repeat the procedure shown in step 5.Connect the Infrared & High intensity flasher terminal as shown in figure 6.1

Once all cables have been inserted, put the power cable switch back to the On position. After that the head lamp will begin to flash, and it will stay on when engine activation signal is being sent from the transmitter.

7. The Waltersons Maxwell 5000 series Multi-Function Control Unit is designed to be compatible with the Waltersons Faraday 2.4GHz Lighting FHSS - 8 Channels radio control system as well as the HL 27MHz FM radio control system
