Multiple PossibilitiesWhittle is a suite of strategic mine planning toolsdesigned for professional mine planners. There isa growing range of modules which can be added toWhittle, further increasing its performance and util-ity.

The Multi-element module extendsthe capabilities of Whittle to allowup to ten elements to be defined inthe model. Individual elements arereported separately and the gradesand quantities of each element areavailable for use in user-defined ex-pressions, graphs and reports.

Multi-product minesThe Multi-element module is very useful for ana-lysing multi-product mines. Multiple products canhave independent recovery functions through oneor more processing paths. Each element can havedifferent cost structures and output limits. UsingWhittle’s powerful mathematical expressionbuilder, it is easy to make the behaviour of oneproduct in the process, dependent on the grade ofanother.

Deleterious ElementsElements need not be products, they may be poi-sons or deleterious minerals. These can be mod-elled and tracked with ease using the Multi-ele-ment module.

Special TechniquesWhittle’s mathematical expression builder andthe Multi-element module are a powerful combi-

nation when it comes to applying special tech-niques. The system will satisfy the needs of themost demanding users.

Modular and ScalableMulti-Element is just one of a growing range ofadvanced modules that can be added to the Foun-dation architecture of Whittle. This scalable ap-proach allows the Whittle strategic mine plan-ning suite to adapt and evolve with individualuser requirements. A whole new range of mineplanning analysis possibilities is now availableto mine planning professionals.
