The area between the Hajar al-Aswad and the Door of the Kabah is
called the Multazam. It is approimatel! two metres wide and is a
place where duas "supplications# are accepted.
The Multazam is an area where duas are accepted. It is sunnah to hold on tothe wall of the Kabah in such a manner that a cheek, chest and hands are
against the wall. It is reported that Abdullah bin Umar ma! Allah be pleased with
him" once completed the Tawaf, performed the salah and then kissed the #a$ar
al%Aswad. Thereafter, he stood between the #a$ar al%Aswad and the door of the
Kabah in such a manner that the cheek, chest and hands were against the wall.
#e then said, This is what I saw Rasulullah (peace and blessings of Allah be on
him) do.
Abdullah bin Abbas ma! Allah be pleased with him" sa!s, The signs of
acceptance for any dua made between the a!ar al"Aswad and the door of the
#abah will certainly be seen.
Mu$aahid ma! Allah be pleased with him" sa!s, The area between the a!ar
al"Aswad and the door is called the $ulta%am. Allah will grant a person
whate&er he as's for there and sa&e him from whate&er he see's refuge from
there.
