Presenter
Presentation Notes
Reviewing and commenting on work items prior to an availability package is released is important. It allows PPG and the COR to check for technical accuracy and correct deficiencies. When PPG generates an RFE, they log it into their system and based on the SY location (if known) or bidding area they begin to stock paint for the upcoming availability.

RFEs - Paint Work Items3. Using the Order lead times for Availabilities, the PE

should submit a completed paint order form identifying paint and Tech Rep requirements needed to support the paint work items for the availability.

– a. Any paint work item changes from initial RFE submittal should be reflected in the paint order form when submitted

– b. If shipyard location is still unknown when submitting orders, still submit paint order form and follow up with an email with shipyard location when awarded.
