MSc in Finance Employment Report 2017 This MSc Employment Report is released on May 2017 by the Academic Steering Committee of the MSc in Finance, University of Siena. The results of this report provide information about the first year jobs of our 2015 graduates. This MSc Employment Report is released on May 2017 by the Academic SteeringCommittee of the MSc in Finance, University of Siena. The panel is composed by the 30 graduates in year2015 responding to the survey.The total number of graduates in that year was 38(response rate 78.9%).The average age at graduation was 26.1.The average study duration was 2.8 years.Of the 30 graduates responding to the survey, 9were female and 21 were male.

Comparison group

The comparison group lists 610 graduates in year2015 responding to the survey.The total number of graduates in that year was 741(response rate 82.3%).The average age at graduation was 26.1 (min 25.5max 28.2 across universities).The average study duration was 2.7 years (min 2.2,max 3.1 across universities).Of the 610 graduates responding to the survey, 245were female and 365 were male.

Employment

How many MSc graduates are employed?

Of the 30 graduates in 2015 responding to the survey, 63.3% was employed in 2016(62.5% of the females, 63.6% of the males). In the comparison group, 69.3% wasemployed (68.8% of the females, 69.7% of the males). A breakdown of the global em-ployment situation is drawn in the following barchart (Siena MSc in Finance graduatesin blue, comparison group in gray).

Salary

The average net salary in 2016 of the employed graduates was 1,658 C per month(1,777 C males average, 1,326 C females average).The comparison group reported an average of 1,387 C per month (min 956 C, max1,658 C across universities).The barchart shows the ranking of the average salary level of our graduates (blue)within the comparison group.

Contract type

Graduates start their job search after 0.2 months on average and find it after 2.9 monthson average.
