access the online catalogue and understand how to locate and find resources in the library building (www.gegnir.is and Dewey numbers)
use scholar.google.com and understand how it interconnects to specific databases and journals in subscription at RU
use bibliographies and find relevant information according to citations and bibliographic references.

Books and other print resources
• Course books are kept in the Reserve library at the reception desk.
• Older editions of course books and other print resources are kept in open shelves in the main library.
• Course books are only lent within the library. • Other books are for borrowing for up to 4 weeks.
• Books and other print resources are found by looking in the catalogue gegnir.is (check link for English version of Gegnir)

Service for MS students
• Book an information specialist for assistance – assignments and projects – Thesis
• LIRU can order books and photocopies of articles from journals which are not available in the library. These services are especially intended for RU faculty and for students preparing a final thesis.
• Don’t hesitate to contact the library for help.
