Black bears live near the water. Black bears eat
fish plants and berries. They eat their food by
biting it. Black bears can grow up to ten feet tall.
Hope you enjoyed my report. Thank you.
Giraffes
By: Simon Brown
A giraffe is an endangered species. It
lives in Africa. It has long legs that can
run 34 miles an hour. Its kicks are so cool
and it has a long neck so it can get leaves
from the top of a tree. It has cool patterns
on its body. They take care of their babies
and they will feed the leaves to their
babies.

Deer by Logan
Deer can come in different colors to match the background!
When you see a roundish spot in the grass that means a deer slept there .
Deer nurse their young deer and hide their young in the grass .
Male deer are competitive.
Dolphins
By Sadie
My name is Sadie and I am researching dolphins!
They live in the water. They also are small whales. Did you
know that Dolphins are Mammals, not fish?
Dolphins
By Joselyn Dolphins are animals that live in the sea. There are a lot of books
about dolphins helping people to land or stories about people
riding on dolphin’s backs. Dolphins probably do not see people
that need help everyday and I do not think that people try to climb
onto dolphins backs. A dolphin can swim for more than 25 M.P.H.
Dolphins can grow from 6 to 12 feet. A dolphin can sound an
alarm if danger is near. It would probably be an Orca because they
eat dolphins. It is funny that dolphins eat dolphins because an
Orca is a dolphin and they eat other dolphins. If a dolphin is sick
other dolphins will take care of it. Dolphins talk with clicks,
creaks and whistles. Dolphins have really good hearing. Like
bats, a dolphin sends out sounds that come back and tells the
dolphin were the thing is and what the thing is. A baby dolphin
comes out of their mother tail first so they do not drown. One kind
of Dolphin that lots of people know is the Bottlenosed Dolphin. I
hope you like dolphins too. Thank you!
Electric
Eels By Ethan Holmes
Electric Eels live in rivers in South America. It is brown.
It is 6 feet long. It eats small fish. The Electric Eel gets its
Food by shocking it. The Electric Eel swims by moving like
a snake. It got its name from its
shock

Flamingos are birds. They are pink because they eat so
many shrimp. Flamingos have very long legs! Flamingos
have long, curving necks to drink water. Flamingos live
near grassy areas. These birds drink water from small
water holes, and they wade into the water to find food.
They stay together in groups. Flamingos get scared easily.
Flamingos eat shrimp and crabs.
I love Flamingos!
GORILLAS
By Cayla
Gorillas live in Africa. They are endangered. They
are really big. They have red eyes. They are a lot like us.
They have flat noses. Gorillas are 450 pounds 204
kilograms and 6 feet tall. And 1.8 meters tall. People are
cutting down forests that the gorillas live in. People are
also killing the gorillas for their meat. Gorillas are gentle
to each other but not to people. When gorillas are mad
they make a hooo-hooo-hooo noise. He takes a leaf and
holds it in between their lips. When gorillas do this, it
means he is angry. When gorillas move to place to place,
the mother gorilla carries the baby in her
arms.
Gorillas By Ava
Gorillas are vertebrates. Gorillas live in the jungle in
Africa. A gorilla looks like a big furry and strong animal
with a mind like a person. A gorilla is very gentle to other
gorillas. Their baby is very small. Gorillas can get to be 6
feet tall and 1.8 meters. The gorilla can weigh up to 450
pounds or 204 kilograms. The gorillas are endangered
because the people are chopping down the trees of the
forest and killing them for their meat. The gorilla’s main
color is black but some gorillas are gray. Gorillas protect
themselves by making really loud noises like hoooo-oooo.
The signal for anger is when they put a leaf in their mouth.
Then they run after the predator.
When gorillas move place to place, the mother takes
the baby and puts it on her back or in her arms.
Some baby gorillas like to play with plants.
I like gorillas because they’re amazing animals!
HAMMER
HEAD
SHARKS! By: Michael O’Neill
The animal I am
studying is a hammer head shark. A hammer head shark is a
vertebrate. These sharks live all over the ocean. They have
sharp teeth, fins and a head like a hammer. The length of a
hammer head shark is twenty feet long. A hammer head shark
eats fish, turtles, seals and penguins. It gets its food by
hunting. It swims by moving back and forth. A hammer head
shark’s enemy is humans. It protects its self with its teeth.
Hammer head sharks do not take care of their babies. A shark
is an endangered species. People shoot them for shark
contests, and for not harming people when they swim.

Koalas are very small when they are babies. But the
mom is very big. Mom Koalas carry her young in her
pouch for about six months. Then they go on their
mother’s back like a piggy back for seven months.
Then the Koala is ready to be on its own. Koalas live in
damp forests in Australia. They live in the trees. They
love to climb in the trees. Koalas eat plants, grass and
bamboo. They move by crawling. These are some facts
about Koalas: they never drink water; they have many
enemies like dingoes and goannas; whenever koalas
hear scratching noises they run away quickly, because
they think it is their enemy approaching.
Koalas are endangered. People have killed so many
koalas that it is now against the law. Koalas go into a
ball at night to keep warm. I hope you learned! The
end.
Leopards
By: Bobby Frassinelli
The animal I am studying is
the Leopard. Leopards live in
Africa and Asia. Most
leopards have spots.
Leopards can grow up to nine feet tall. Some of
the things that Leopards eat are goats,
antelopes and snakes. Leopards get their food
by pouncing on their pray. Leopards move by
walking, climbing and running. Leopard’s
enemies are humans. Leopards protect
themselves by climbing up trees. If there is a
danger their mom will carry them away.
Leopards are an endangered species because
humans are hunting them for their fur. A cool
fact about leopards is that some have spots and
some are black.
Lions By TJ
The animal I am researching is the Lion. It
is a vertebra. Male lions weigh more than
female lions. Its enemy is people. It can
also eat humans. Lions like company more
than any other cat. People call Lions “the
king of the beasts.” Lions eat antelope,
buffalo and zebra.

Moose are the biggest in the deer family.
The biggest kind of moose lives in Alaska.
These moose stand up to 7 1/2 feet high
and weigh 1800 pounds. Moose have big
shoulders that form a hump. It has long
legs and hooves. Moose have fur that is
brownish-black on the upper parts the lower
parts are grayish-brown.
The orca by:
Evelyn Simon
The animal I am researching is the orca. An orca is a really good animal
for communicating with their trainers. An orca is an endangered species.
In the water they live in there is not enough food for orcas to thrive for a
lifetime like mollusks and fish like smelt capelin and salmon. The
mollusks they eat are snails’ clams and oysters. They also eat
echinoderms, like starfish. The way orcas eat their food is by swallowing
their food whole. The way they commutate with other orcas is by
making sounds with their blowhole. The most common sound from
orcas when they shoot water out their blowhole it makes a sound like
this: creek coonk. Other sounds are not as common. I think orcas are a
awesome animal to research.
By: Sabrina Penguins don’t fly in the air, they fly in the water. They eat fish, squid, crabs and shrimp. Penguins have a body that is suited for cold weather, cold water and ice. They have feathers that are thick and short. Their feathers are black or bluish-gray and the underside is white. Penguins have a beak that is black, red, bright purple or orange. Their feet are blue, black, or pink.
By: Hailey Davis
The animal I’m studying is polar bears. Polar bears live on land.
Most polar bears swim. Polar bears are a big fury animal. They have
long necks and no tail. A polar bear is a mammal and a vertebrae.
During the cub’s first summer their mother teaches them how to hunt,
and helps them for one or two winters.
In the arctic the ice is melting and there are becoming fewer and
fewer polar bears. This is called global warming. We can help conserve
energy by turning off lights when we are not using them, which will
conserve energy. We can also raise money. If everybody does this they
maybe the polar bears will make a come back.
Raccoons
By Alex
I am studying raccoons. They live in a
tree in North America. They eat fish.
Raccoons have white circles around
their eyes. A raccoon’s claws help
them climb. A raccoon is a
vertebrate. A raccoon’s enemies are
the fox bobcat and the owl.
Snowy Owls!
By Tessa! The animal that I,am studying is snowy owls!
Snowy owls have white fethers

A Hamster is a vertebrate and a mammal.
Hamsters are small furry creatures. They like to
live in temperate regions. They live in America
and in Europe. Hamsters have a wild cousin
called European Hamsters. European hamsters
live in Eastern Europe. They are also called
common Hamsters.
A Golden Hamster is a brownish-goldish
color. Hamsters eat cheese, fruit, veggies, meat
and small grains. They move by walking and
running. Their enemies are cats, dogs and birds.
The female hamster creates a soft nest for her
and her pups.
16 days after mating, the female gives birth
to several pups. A Hamster can have up to 12
pups.
