INTRODUCTION
Christine Raynaud, the new CEO of The MRI China Group, a seasoned business leader in the recruitment
industry for over 20 years in Asia and in Europe, acquired the MRI China group in November 2010.
Her decision to invest in this business was based on its excellent foundations and growth prospects: The MRI
China Group was a first entrant in Mainland China 10 years ago and enjoys a leadership position and excellent
reputation across China. The group has a regional presence with offices in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.
The core values of the company, a solutions and innovative mindset, a specialist culture with over 100 expert
recruitment professionals providing recruitment solutions in the mid to senior space form a strong foundation
for a very attractive value proposition to clients and candidates.
From a growth support standpoint, the company also has an innovative & scalable delivery platform with a
shared research center and direct sourcing/outsourcing solutions working in synergy with the executive
recruitment search practices
The group is also part (as a franchisee) of an international network of executive search and recruitment
businesses (over 800 offices) with which it is engaged in inbound and outbound business.
The transition has been successful, year to date May, our revenues are materially up over last year and the
company is profitable while investing heavily in new people and infrastructure. Our aim is to pursue this
expansion in the years to come and eventually double or triple the size of the business, market conditions
allowing.
Currently, our growth potential is as high as our ability to respond to the needs of our clients and candidates.
Our biggest operation, China, is expanding very quickly. However, we also aim at reaching a much larger size in
Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, where we plan to treble the size of our operations. Our aim is to strengthen
existing teams as well as open new business streams appropriate to market.

Expansion in Hong Kong and South China
Our objective is to leverage on our existing strengths as well as maximize growth opportunities by
deepening our reach in terms of specialization and geographical spread. In Hong Kong our plans
include entry and growth into the Consumer and retail related sector, as well as expansion of our
existing Industrial and Financial Services teams.
Expansion - Consumer and Retail
With outstanding strengths and specialization in China already established in the Retail (Luxury and
Distribution) as well as the FMCG space, we are seeking to broaden our geographical reach
establishing and growing this Practice in Hong Kong and South China.
Across China and the region we have 28 expert professionals each focused on specialized disciplines
in this space. This platform and their relationships will support our expansion across this sector in
Hong Kong.
Expansion – Financial Services
With outstanding strengths and specialization in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China already established in
the Risk/Compliance, Asset Management, Commercial Banking and Human Resources space, we are
seeking to expand our existing team in Hong Kong.
Across the region we have 29 expert professionals each focused on specialized disciplines in this
space. This industry leading platform and their relationships will form the foundation of and support
our expansion across this sector in Hong Kong.
Expansion – Industrial and Manufacturing
With outstanding strengths and specialization in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China already established in
the industrial and manufacturing space, across 14 sub sectors, we are seeking to expand our existing
team as well as broaden our geographical reach in Hong Kong and South China.
Across China and the region we have 36 expert professionals each focused on specialized disciplines
in this space. This industry leading platform and their relationships will form the foundation of and
support our expansion across this sector in Hong Kong and South China.

Roles - Consumer and Retail
Practice Leader
In this segment we are looking for a Practice Leader to join us and take ownership of this exciting
opportunity. In this role, you will initially be expected to establish and achieve personal billings, while
developing and growing a large team of consultants and senior consultants. Once the team is
established, the role will have deeper focus on practice results, achieved through driving productivity
and team billing.
Within The MRI China Group, this position is viewed as a management and “rainmaker” role, being
responsible for client development and retention across the practice. This involves being a Market
Master in your own area of specialization as well as a practice expert with regard to the industry
sector. What is important to us is having an established reputation in the market as a partner to
clients and candidates within the segment and being a trusted advisor within the industry sector.
Principal Consultant/Senior Business Consultant
As a Principal Consultant or Business Consultants in this segment, you will be working closely with
the Practice Leader in establishing this exciting new business stream for our Hong Kong operation.
You will work to establish the consumer and retail practice through building a deeply specialized desk
focused on a core discipline. You will be responsible for business development with new and existing
clients, expanding the client portfolio within your segment. This will also involve building and
retaining client/candidate relationships, managing assignments and making placements for mid to
senior level roles, utilizing your deep expertise in your area as well as sharing knowledge with the
market and your team.
Roles – Financial Services
Practice Manager – Banking Operations
Practice Managers within The MRI China Group manage a small team of business consultants,
focusing on their own discipline segment, achieving a personal billings target while also driving team
billing and productivity. You would be responsible for client development and retention,
development of an impact player candidate pool across practice, managing team delivery on
assignments and committed deadlines. You will establish a reputation in the sector as a market
master, through partnering with clients and candidates
Based in Hong Kong, this role will be intrinsic to the development of wider penetration of the banking
and finance market in the Operations area.
Principal Consultants/Senior Business Consultant and Business
Consultants
As a Consultant in the Financial Services Practice, you will be working closely with the Practice
Director and Manager in expanding this established business stream within Hong Kong. However, it
should be noted that you will not have geographical restrictions on where you can do business. We
plan to expand the depth of our specialization in the areas of Compliance, Risk and Banking
Operations (trade support, reconciliations etc) as well as Finance (audit, tax, forensic accounting etc)
and Human Resources.
You will achieve success by building a deeply specialized desk focused on a core discipline. You will be
responsible for business development with new and existing clients, expanding the client portfolio
within your segment. This will also involve building and retaining client/candidate relationships,
managing assignments and making placements for mid to senior level roles, utilizing your deep
expertise in your area as well as sharing knowledge with the market and your team.
Search Consultants – Banking Sector As a Search Consultant focused on the Banking Sector, you will be working closely with our teams of
consultants, focused on assisting them in sourcing, identifying and securing talent relevant to the
requirements of clients.
You will achieve success by building and maintaining a network of professional contacts within the
sector through a range of activities, such as research, internet sourcing, database mining and
advertising response management. Once established you will then focus on maintaining relationships
with this network, understanding their career aspirations and motivators, while being able to grow the
partnership relationships with them.
This is an excellent opportunity for a an experience research professional who wishes to specialize
within a certain sector and build their career in the expert consulting path, developing as a Business
Consultant and further.
Roles – Industrial and Manufacturing
Practice Manager
Practice Managers within The MRI China Group manage a small team of business consultants,

Based in Hong Kong, this position provide complete access to the market in South China and will be
intrinsic to the development of wider geographical penetration of the market as well as expansion of
our service office in Guangzhou as well as the eventual opening of our offices in Shenzhen.
While our focus is on expanding at Practice Manager level, there are also opportunities for Business
Consultants and Senior Business Consultants to join this expanding team. Consideration will also be
given to bringing a whole team of specialized professionals on board.
Senior Business Consultant/Business Consultant
As Consultants in the Industrial Practice, you will be working closely with the Practice Director and
Practice Manager in expanding this established segment for both the Hong Kong and South China
market.
You will achieve this by building a deeply specialized desk focused on a core discipline. You will be
responsible for business development with new and existing clients, expanding the client portfolio
within your segment. This will also involve building and retaining client/candidate relationships,
managing assignments and making placements for mid to senior level roles, utilizing your deep
expertise in your area as well as sharing knowledge with the market and your team.
