Mr. Sampson is the live electronic project of producer Joe Haederle and drummer Aaron Harel. Immersed in the forward thinking electronic music scene, the two consistently deliver a unique live experience. They have worked their way onto bills with national touring acts such as Cashmere Cat, Wave Racer, Wobblesauce, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean.

MMr. Sampson’s roots can be traced back several years to when Joe and Aaron met as freshman in Drexel University’s Music Industry program. They found instant chemistry performing Joe’s music and quickly infiltrated the Philadelphia house show circuit. As Joe adopted a more instrumental approach to crafting his hybrid of electronic and hip-hop beats, he dedicated himself to shifting the common perception of electronic musicians simply “pressing plplay”.

Joe constructs his music by combining soulful samples, original instrumentation, and cutting edge sound design, drawing inspiration from innovative producers such as Pretty Lights, Bonobo, and Gramatik. He and Aaron team up for Mr. Sampson live sets, which incorporate acoustic drums, live sample manipulation, and synthesizers blended together to deliver a dynamic performance.
