Reminder: Your traveling to a foreign country where the electrical outlet is different from ours. In many countries you wil l need a converter plugto fit your electric devices. Converter plugs are very difficult to find, and expensive overseas, and why waste time looking? If you can't find themlocally, before you leave, we can help you secure them for your destinations at very reasonable prices.Don’t forget a small power strip—ideal for sharing a crowded outlet in an airport, and a simple way to keep all devices close by once your at ahotel. If you are travell ing out of the country, and you bring a cellular phone or tablet with you, always keep it in Airplane Mode. This wil l preventyour being surprised at the exorbitant roaming charges on your bil l when you get home. Use your hotel's WiFi to send and receive emails.Another valuable tip, if you have a smartphone, is to sign up for the WhatsApp before you leave the country. You can get it from your phone'sApp Store or the Play Store. Have all the people you wish to stay in contact while your away, also put the App on their phones. If you use theWhatsApp, you wil l be able to initiate calls, receive calls, text and send photos to them whenever you are signed on to WiFi at no cost.

Currency ExchangeLook for a currency change booth. As you are exchanging your currency for the local currency, there are factors that wil l determine how much ofthe foreign currency you wil l receive. Ask them and be sure to deal with a currency exchanger who does not charge additional commission. Before you hand them your money ask, and have them write down exactly how much of the foreign currency you wil l receive. Check thatagainst the posted exchange rate for buy and sell. Not all Change Currency places are equal. Another thought, if you are going to multiplecountries, get a small amount of each currency so you can pay for the transportation from the airport or train terminal to your hotel. Your localbank wil l usually not have foreign currency, so get it when you make your first exchange.

Activity: Tram 22 available around corner. Wait at sign for #22. You need to buy a ticket before you board a bus, tram or metro. Tickets are soldfrom machines at metro stations and tram stops, at newsstands, snack shops, newspaper kiosks and metro station ticket offices. Tickets are validon tram, metro, bus and the Petřín funicular. Passes are valid for 24 and 72 hours from the time of validation. The round trip on Tram 22 wil ltake approximately 2.5 hours and provide a good overview of Prague.

Please refer to your Easy Trav el Adv isor spreadsheet for restaurant suggestions and reserv ations or you can ask your desk clerk forlocal recommendations

Try to avoid the restaurants in the tourist areas which target visitors. Just turn a corner and you are sure to find a place with better food andprices. The best way to show you were happy with the food, place or service is to leave a 10 % tip.During lunchtime, most of the restaurants offer daily set menus for less than the a la carte menu items. If the menu is not on the table, justask. The best way to move around Prague is by metro and tram. I recommend getting a 3 day pass to save on individual ticket prices.Three l ines of the metro operate from 5 am to midnight. The night trams usually run every 30 minutes.Czech taxi drivers are infamous for their prices. Try to avoid hail ing a taxi on the street because the price wil l be higher. It is best to agreeon a price before getting in.

Do & SeeThe Czech capital is small and compact, with hospody (beer-houses) offering the world’s best beers stationed on every street corner. The mostimportant areas are the central districts of the city: Staré Město (Old Town), Josefov, Nové Město (New Town), and Malá Strana (Lesser Town). These are best explored on foot.

DiningMany international cuisines have been introduced to the Prague restaurant scene, but the Central European fare sti l l dominates. Classic Czechmeals include Svíčková (roast beef with cream sauce), and the national dish, Vepřo-knedlo-zelo (pork with sauerkraut and dumplings). Thesecan be had at any hospoda—beerhouse—along with a cold pilsner.

Tour Prague Castle (purchase Circuit "B") Completion time 3-4 hours. Take Tram 22 to PrazskyHrad exit, approximately 22 minutesAfter above, walk across bridge into Old Town and Josefov (the Jewish Quarter). A good portion of your day wil l be spent wandering the streetsoccasionally stopping for drinks and food.

You are in the proximity of the river, Taking any of the boats for a one hour cruise is a wonderful way to get off your feet and see the city from adifferent view. The cost is $10 per person. You can add different amenities such as drinks, food, or music for additional costs. Just walk alongthe pier and select your boat. Be sure and ask when they depart. You don't want to wait and waste time.

Dining ReservationYou have a reservation at 19:30 at U Modre Kachnicky (Blue Duck). tel 420 602 353 559. Nebovidska 460/6. It is a 14 minute tram ride #22 or#23. Get off at Hell ichova (see map on tram). Walk 2 minutes to restaurant.

Prague Night LifePrague Nightl ife scene is as appropriately raucous as its infamy suggests. Prices and clientele veer widely from the tourist-fi l led Old Townhaunts to the sometimes slightly seedy neighbourhood bars. You wil l find that beer is drunk morning, noon and night, and that Czech beers areamong the best and cheapest in the world. Brands to look out for include Pilsner Urquell, Gambrinus, Staropramen and Budweiser (Budvar)..

The beautiful city of Prague is a great springboard for adventure. Whether you're looking for historic castles and quaint medieval streetscapes, cultural experiences at art galleries and museums, or a chance to simply explore the scenery, you'l l find plenty of things to do outside the city. From the old churches and crypts in Kutná Hora and Sedlec to lovely old palaces and bizarre natural rock formations, there's no end ofpossibil i ties for day trips from Prague. And the other great European cities of Vienna and Dresden are within reach, as well.

Plan your adventures with this list of the best day trips from Prague:

Cesky Krumlov

One of Eastern Europe's most perfect walled towns is second only to Prague in attracting tourists to the Czech Republic. Its entire center hasbeen named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the beautifully preserved and maintained 14th-century buildings that l ine its narrow streets.Cesky Krumlov Castle, on a rock promontory high above the River Vltava, is even older, dating back to 1240. The castle complex, whichincludes 40 palaces and other buildings, five courts, and a splendid original Baroque theater, is surrounded by gardens. You can visit the castleand tour the old town with a guide to learn more about its long history on a Cesky Krumlov Day Trip from Prague. The 10-hour tour includes ascenic ride through the Bohemian countryside by air-conditioned coach before touring the castle and old town, with time to explore on yourown before returning to Prague.

The Old Town of Kutná Hora

About 80 kilometers east of Prague, the town of Kutná Hora is fi l led with spectacular architecture. A highlight is the Baroque St. Barbara'sCathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built in 1338. The extravagantly decorated interior has unusual frescoes featuring minting andmining (the silver mine here was once the largest in Europe), along with a mural of the Vision of St. Ignatius. Also worth seeing is the ItalianCourt (Vlassky dvur), whose old mint once produced much of Europe's coinage, and the former residence of Bohemian King Vaclav IV. A fewminutes' drive outside Kutná Hora is Kacina Chateau, built in 1822 and housing a private theater, pharmacy, l ibrary, and picture gallery, aswell as a beautiful park laid out in the English style.

One of the country's most unusual attractions is on the outskirts of Kutná Hora, the rather gruesome collections of its "Bone Church." In theGothic All Saints Chapel are the remains of some 70,000 people who died during the plagues that started in 1380, or who fell victim to theHussite Wars of the 15th century (look carefully, and you'l l see evidence of injuries on some bones). By 1526 overcrowding in the churchcemetery was so severe that a local woodcarver, Frantisek Rint, was granted permission to remove bones and use them to create thisastounding display of curious arrangements including coats of arms, a functioning chandelier, bells, and even chalices. You can visit All SaintsChapel, St. Barbara's Cathedral, the old mint, and other historic sites with an expert guide on the six-hour Kutna Hora Day Trip from Prague, traveling there by air-conditioned coach.

Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland National Parks

Bastei Bridge

Two national parks, one in the Czech Republic and one in the eastern German state of Saxony, protect the vast, scenic region along the ElbeRiver. Towering above the Elbe are huge sandstone pil lars, carved by wind and water into fantastic shapes. A network of hiking trails throughthe forested hil ls reveal waterfalls, viewpoints, and deep gorges. The highlight of the Saxon park is the Bastei Bridge, a 76-meter high stonearched bridge that connects the rock formations. You can walk across to stand on the summit of an eroded cliff and look straight down onto theElbe River. The Pravcicka Brana is the biggest sandstone arch in Europe and the symbol of the Czech national park. The Kamnitz (Kamenice)River has carved a dramatic narrow gorge, which you can travel through in a small boat.

You can see these highlights on the Small-Group Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland National Park Day Trip from Prague, a 13-hour excursionthat can include a variety of other options, as well. Depending on which experiences you choose, you can sail on a gondola-style boat downthe river, walk along the Elbe, take a boat ride through Gorges of Kamenice, or take a seven- or 15-kilometer guided hike. You can evenexperience the parks in winter to see the frozen icefalls.

Karlov y Vary (Karlsbad)

More than a dozen powerful hot springs, some shooting jets of water 14 meters into the air, have made Karlsbad, Karlovy Vary's morecommonly used German name, a health resort for many centuries (Holy Roman Emperor Karl, IV is reputed to have discovered the springs in1358). But there is more to do here than drink or soak in its famed mineral waters. The city is awash in Neoclassical and Art Nouveau springhouses, colonnades, and fountains built at the spa's heyday in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It's also well-known for the Karlovy VaryInternational Film Festival, one of Europe's oldest and only one of the town's cultural attractions. Centuries of wealthy spa-goers needed otheractivities and amusements, so Karlovy Vary has an active performing arts center, along with art galleries and museums. At the Moser glassfactory, you can see artisans creating beautiful art objects in Bohemian crystal.

An easy way to get here is on a Karlovy Vary Day Trip from Prague, a 10-hour tour that takes you by coach through the beautiful Bohemiancountryside as you learn from your guide about the history of Karlovy Vary and the Bohemian glass industry. You wil l visit the Moser factory towatch as the crystal masterpieces are created, then have time to stroll through the spa town and admire the colonnades and other buildingsand fountains and sample the waters.

Dresden

The magnificent Baroque churches, palaces, and other buildings of Dresden's Old Town have been meticulously restored after crushingdestruction in World War II and 40 years of neglect when the city was behind the Iron Curtain as part of the GDR. The soaring dome of theFrauenkirche, for many years nothing more than a pile of rubble, stands once more above the city, and the Dresden Royal Palace once againhouses its famed Green Room and other treasures of the Dresden State Art Collection. Other highlights of the city are the ZwingerPalace and Semperoper (Semper Opera House), along with the lovely Brühl's Terrace overlooking the Elbe and its riverboats.

On a Dresden Day Trip from Prague, you can travel here by coach through the countryside as your guide explains the history of this city knownas the "Florence of the Elbe." Once here, you wil l visit the Frauenkirche and the Zwinger Old Masters Gallery to see Raphael's Sistine

Madonna and other masterpieces. The afternoon is free to explore the city at leisure and visit i ts other tourist attractions.

Page 8: Mr R & Mrs H Banning 3 cities Europe 2019 · Mr R & Mrs H Banning 3 cities Europe 2019 Jul 1, 2019 - Jul 13, 2019. Trip Summary ... July 4 - Thursday July 5 - Friday July 6 - Saturday

In Eastern Bohemia, the spectacular Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj) is a natural area characterized by numerous unique rock formations, splendid old castles, and countless historical buildings. Declared a UNESCO Geopark in 2005, this area of outstanding natural beauty is famedfor its many sandstone hil ls and natural bridges, as well as its tall basalt columns and outcroppings, all of which draw sightseers from acrossEurope. A highlight of a visit is exploring the park's 180 square kilometers via its superb network of hiking trails, or if you're more inclined todrive, you can take any one of its pretty scenic driving routes, including those that travel past its superb old fortresses such as Trosky and Kostcastles. A good place to begin your exploration of the area is from the historic town of Turnov , notable for its fine old churches andarchitecture.

Terezin Concentration Camp

Terezin was a concentration camp north of Prague where more than 150,000 Jews were sent and held for months or years before being sent toextermination camps. Inside the walls of the fortress Theresienstadt, built by Emperor Joseph II of Austria in the late 1700s, it was originally aresort for Czech nobil ity. In 1940, Nazi Germany had the Gestapo turn Terezín into a Jewish concentration camp for Czech Jews and thosedeported from countries occupied by the Nazis. Today, the camp is preserved as a memorial to the 33,000 who died from the conditions here, and the 88,000 people who were sent from here to die in extermination camps. You can tour Terezin with an expert guide who wil l explain thesite and its history on a six-hour Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague. The tour includes the camp, educational exhibits, andmoving Terezin Memorial.

The Catacombs of Klatov y

Dating back to the 13th century, the town of Klatovy - despite being some 130 kilometers southwest of Prague - is well worth a visit. A highlightof this fortified old town is the 81-meter-tall Black Tower (Cerna vez), built in the mid-16th century at the height of the town's influence (it wasan important place of trade and commerce) and notable for the astronomical clock added in the 18th century. Also of interest is the Old TownHall dating from the 16th century; the white towers of the 17th-century Jesuit Church; and the Klatov y Pharmacy, an old apothecary that hasremained unchanged, along with its original equipment and furnishings, since the 18th century. Perhaps the most important attraction inKlatovy, however, are the catacombs. Built in the 17th century by Jesuits constructing the Church of Immaculate Conception and St. Ignatius, they were designed to hold the bodies of Jesuit priests and to serve as protection during times of war, only later becoming the final restingplace of nobil ity and other important persons from Klatovy, many of whose remains can sti l l be seen in various states of preservation.

Plzeň

Established in the late 13th century, the town of Plzeň, 90 kilometers southwest of Prague, serves as the main administrative center of WesternBohemia. Notable highlights of a visit include the large main square, Square of the Republic (Náměstí Republiky), where you'l l find theCathedral of St. Bartholomew (katedrála sv Bartoloměje), famous for its 100-meter-tall spire, the tallest in the Czech Republic, as well as theRenaissance Old Town Hall. Also of interest is the Great Synagogue, built in the 19th century and the third largest synagogue in the world.Another highlight of a visit to Plzeň is to take a tour of the town's historical network of underground cellars and galleries, many of which datefrom the 13th to 19th centuries.

Krkonoše National Park

Although it l ies a two-hour's drive northeast of Prague on the border with Poland, Krkonoše National Park (Krkonošský národní park) is wellworth a visit. Home to the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains), the highest peaks in Bohemia, this national park was established in 1962 to protect thenumerous bird species and extensive flora, including many species of rare trees, that inhabit the area. Now listed as a UNESCO BiosphereReservation, the park's highlights include visiting the quaint spa town of Janské Lázně, while in winter, the ski resorts of Špindlerův Mlýn andPec pod Sněžkou are busy with winter sports enthusiasts. In addition to skiing, the park is also a popular area for hiking and offers plenty ofopportunity for birdwatching. The most popular hike in the mountains is the Harrach Path, which traverses a diverse landscape of roundedmountains, peat bogs, cliffs, and waterfalls.

Kroměříž Palace and the Titan Gallery

Considered the most extravagant palace in the Czech Republic, Kroměříž Palace - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - should be on everyvisitor's must-see l ist. Built as a Bishop's palace in 1686, the palace was almost completely rebuilt following damage sustained in the ThirtyYears' War. Today's structure is largely of early Baroque style and is notable for its extensive l ibrary of more than 50,000 titles, along with amusical archive containing original scores by Mozart and Haydn. Another highlight is the famous Titan Gallery, one of the largest artcollections in the country boasting numerous religious paintings including Veronese's Apostles, and Titian's The Flaying of Marsyas by Apollo, along with works by Jacopo Bassano, Jan and Pieter Brueghel, and Anthony van Dyck. Set along the banks of the Morava River, the largepalace grounds are also worth exploring. (English language guided tours are available.)

The Škoda Auto Museum

The Škoda Auto Museum in Mladá Boleslav , a 50-kilometer drive from Prague, makes for a fun day trip and celebrates the achievements ofone of only four car manufacturers worldwide with an unbroken track record of more than 100 years. This fun museum consists of a number ofinteresting exhibits, including a look at the decades of vehicle production that has taken place here, along with a gallery showing enginedevelopment from the early 20th century to the present day. Other highlights include a chance to see how Skoda's cars are assembled, as wellas seeing numerous classic cars on display and a variety of old machinery in action. Also worth visiting while in Mladá Boleslav is the 17th-century Chateau Mnichov o Hradiště, notable for its chapel where Albrecht von Wallenstein (Valdstejn), a famous warrior of the Thirty Years'War, was buried, along with displays of Delft pottery and porcelain miniatures of Japanese and Chinese origin.

The most efficient way of going from the Railway Station to the hotel is by taking the Underground line U1. You must purchase your tickets andvalidate them before you board. The trip wil l take about 13 minutes. Go 5 stops and get off at Nestroyplatz. Exit the station from the front ofthe train and walk 6 minutes to your hotel. There are many restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. You can also take the U1 to Schwedenplatz station and walk the area for a wide choiceof activities, food and drink.

Check in at Austria Classic Hotel Wien

Get to know ViennaThe most convenient way to explore is by tram. From your hotel take the U1 one stop to Schwedenplatz. You wil l find the Red #1 and #2 l ine.Do a combination of both as it can take you in both directions very close to all the main attractions and museums. You wil l have to payattention when it comes time to switch l ines. The Yellow tourist tram circles the same Ringstrasse loop but does not allow you to get out andhas a much higher cost.

There are concert venues all over Vienna. Most are in halls that have a historical relationship to the musical artists you choose. Your traveladvisor can make suggestions prior to your trip to secure the best seats for the concert performance you choose.

How to get around in Vienna

Public Transport –I wouldn’t suggest buying single tickets every time. The metro operates from 5am ti l l midnight on weekdays and all nightlong on Friday and Saturday night. If you happen to be out after midnight on a weekday, but don’t want to pay for a cab, there are nightbuses operating in 30 min intervals. Your ticket is valid for all trams, buses and metro l ines.

o €2,40 single ticket – if you buy it in advance

o €2,60 single ticket – if you buy it on the bus or tram

o Daily tickets – €8 for 24 hours; €14,10 for 48 hours, €17,10 for 72 hours – the best option!

BikeRental – Vienna is a very bike friendly city. CITY BIKE stations can be found everywhere (usually close to metro stations) and you needone credit card per bike. You must initial ly pay a €1 fee to use the service, then you get 1 hour for free every time you pick up a bike. Usethe app CityBike station finder to locate the next free bike stations.

July 6 - Saturday

Schonbrunn Palace, Vienna Zoo & Naschmarkt Walk 6 minutes to the Underground. Take the U1 to Schwedenplatz and transfer to the U4. Get off at Schonbrunn. Follow the crowd. You wil lthen walk about 10 minutes to the entrance of the Palace.

As previously booked with your travel advisor, you are scheduled for the Grand Tour of Schonbrunn Palace and the Zoo. Your tour time ispromptly at 10:30. The Palace portion wil l take approximately 2.5 hours. It is a 15 minute walk through the park to the Zoo. You can also take atram that arrives in front of the Palace.

The Naschmarkt is on the U4 line. Exit the Ketterbruckengasse station which is the 5th station. It is a 4 minute walk and you are among thestalls. Sample the many different foods.

Dinner ReservationYou have a 8:00 pm reservation for dinner at Wieiner Wiaz Haus, Gusshausstrasse 24, 431 505 4507. It is a 13 minute ride on the U1. Go 4stops and depart at Taubstummerengasse. Walk 4 minutes to restaurant.

Budapest offers plenty of entertainment all year round: from green parks and soothing thermal baths to architectural gems and museums, to beexplored in city quarters all different in character.

To fully view many of the sights of Budapest, we would recommend a Hop on-off Bus. This wil l provide you an overview of the city with theopportunity to get off at various stops of interest. I would suggest the 48 hour pass as the cost is not that much more than the 24 hour. The stopsare provided at most of the attractions in the city.

Seeing the sites of BudapestYou have seen most of the attractions from the Hop on-off bus. Today would be a good day to enter some of the buildings and museums.

Budapest Night LifeIn entrepreneurial Budapest, the best times are to be had amid ruins. And we don’t mean underground spaces with sweaty ceil ings and barely-functioning toilets. No – for nights out that truly feel apocalyptic, so-called ‘ruin bars’ are where to head. Locals have transformed these oldSoviet buildings into retro clubbing hotspots fi l led with communist-era paraphernalia, and in doing so put nightl ife in Budapest well and trulyon the map. There are few more atmospheric places to get on down in Europe.

And the night won’t end there, either. With other good times to be had at the world-renowned Szechenyi Baths and along the vibrant, leafyGozsdu Passage in the Jewish district, Budapest’s best nightl ife spots are increasingly putting clubbing capitals Berlin and London to shame.Grab a cocktail and let your hair down at one of these excellent bars or clubs… then start all over again tomorrow.

Mazel Tov

What is it? Mazel Tov is stylish, spacious – and already a staple of Budapest’s burgeoning nightl ife scene. It’s a giant courtyard-cum-culturalspace, l ined with lush trees and plants, draped in twinkling l ights and topped with a glass roof. Tucked away in the l ively Jewish District (knownas the 7th District), this cavernous space is Insta-friendly and most definitely worth the hype.

Why go? As well as being a great place for evening drinks (the cocktail and pálinka brandy l ist is impressive), Mazel Tov is also equal partsgarden party and gastronomic destination. Head here for Mediterranean-Hungarian fusion plates and you won’t be disappointed (theirshawarma sandwich is a winner). Booking – even on weekdays – is highly recommended.

Racskert

What is it? A former car park converted into a relaxed ruin bar with graffiti-covered walls and something of a festival vibe.

Why go? Racskert is a local’s favourite, and with cheap beer, vegan snacks, a plant-l ined garden and a regular programme of l ive folk music, it’sreally no wonder. As is the case with most ruin bars, you won’t find anyone taking reservations or bookings and it’s a come-as-you-are vibe.

Szimpla Kert

What is it? Quirky ruin bars are Budapest’s most famous nightl ife phenomenon. The trend of revamping former factories and car parks into(almost) fully functioning watering holes, while allowing the character of the buildings to remain (by keeping the Communist-era junk andcrumbling courtyards), started with Szimpla Kert back in 2002. When it moved to its current home in the Jewish quarter in 2004, it became theepicentre of Budapest’s nightl ife scene – a title it sti l l deservedly holds today.

Why go? Despite the club having reached mega-famous status (you can now buy branded clothing inside), it’s weird and welcoming ethosremains the same. Come for the reputation, stay to have a drink in an open-top East German Trabant car or converted bathtub, l isten to someseriously heavy electronic beats, or just soak up the surreal atmosphere.

Instant

What is it? Now in the same building as veteran club Fogas Ház, Instant is sti l l the biggest ruin bar in Budapest, with two courtyards and eightbars, all of which stay open unti l 6am, seven nights a week.

Why go? For a mesmerizing, dreamlike experience combining l ive music in the early evening with raving later on, you should really head toInstant. If you’re not impressed by the sheer scale of the place, you’re sure to be enchanted by the eclectic artwork and weird canopy ofhanging sculptures.

Szechenyi Spa Baths

What is it? Szechenyi Baths are so much more than a decadent location in which to slot in some sauna time – they’re also home to one of thecity’s most raucous night-time events, the Sparty. Think a full-on rave in a thermal spa. And that means pumping house music, pricey cocktailsand an anything-goes atmosphere.

Why go? When else wil l you get to party in the spectacular setting of a 20th-century Turkish bath house? This one’s not for the faint of heart, but you’l l be surrounded by plenty of other tourists and be able to swim/dance the night away in a giant pool i l luminated by lasers and flashinglights. All-male stag parties are not welcome, and security is on-hand all through the night to create a safe environment for all.

360 Bar

What is it? This rooftop bar offers 360-degree views over the capital, a lengthy wine and cocktail l ist, and an array of excellent snacks andsmall plates.

Why go? When you want a taste of the high l ife, there’s no better spot for l ip-smacking drinks with a breathtaking view guaranteed to distractyou from your companions. If you fancy sunset drinks, be sure to reserve a table beforehand or check the Facebook page for the full program ofsummer events, which include ‘Yoga Brunch’ and a series of day parties.

Gozsdu Passage

What is it? Budapest’s party vortex is Gozsdu Passage, a tunnel of buzzing bars and restaurants draped in fairy l ights, with open-air spaces thatspil l out into airy courtyards and gardens, right in the center of the trendy 7th District.

Why go? Start or end your night here. You’l l be spoilt for choice with karaoke and cocktails bars aplenty, touristy pubs and edgy cafes, and thearea is a popular choice for both locals and visitors. There is a decent choice of places to eat, so make sure to rock up in the early evening andthen while away the night.

Ötkert Club

What is it? This central spot opened in 2010, offering a slightly more polished clubbing experience than its edgier counterparts. Ötkert’s magictakes place in an impressive, restored 19th-century building.

Why go? On most summer nights, Ötkert boasts five DJs playing a mix of commercial music, R&B and hip hop across two rooms, as well asvarious themed nights. They also have a large terrace which is utterly perfect in July and August. If you’re here in winter, don’t worry – it comesequipped with outdoor heating for colder nights.

Fogas Ház

What is it? One of the pioneers of the ruin bar, this clubbing monster continues to offer something for everyone after a very successful 2010revamp.

Why go? You’l l probably get lost in this colorful maze-like institution, but that’s obviously part of the fun. Fogas Ház is part-bar, part-culturalcenter and comprises an open-air dance floor, a thrift shop, a cocktail bar with a terrace, a ping-pong area and a pizzeria. Boredom isn’t reallyan option here.
