Cabarrus Charter Academy Cambridge International Programme
Grades 6-10 for 2016-2017
What is Cambridge?
CCA’s Cambridge International Examinations programme is an advanced academics program for
motivated students that allows flexible learning opportunities in the classroom, collaboration among
peers and teachers, and strives to create responsible, innovative, reflective, engaged, and confident
students that will be well-equipped for the college or university journey.
Who should apply?
Students are encouraged to apply if they hold high positive characteristics in their work ethic,
responsibility, engagement, and academic performance. If your child is ready for a challenge and is
motivated to work through challenging learning opportunities, then Cambridge is a great fit!
How can I apply?
Pick up an application packet at the CCA Front Desk and complete the required components as
listed. You will need recommendations from teachers and staff at the school you currently attend, so
ensure you are completing this prior to the final deadline.
When is the application deadline?
Applications may be picked up anytime during April-June and are due to Ms. Courtney Mosley or
the front office by July 1, 2016.
Where can I get more information?
There two Cambridge Information Sessions at CCA in room 212 on May 25 at 5pm and at
5:30pm where information about the Cambridge program and other application information will be
discussed. You can attend this session and also check out cie.org.uk for more information.
For specific questions, you may contact Ms. Courtney Mosley, Cambridge Coordinator, at
