Letter of Recommendation Jan. 17, 2007 To Whom It May Concern: This letter of recommendation is to support Mr. Mohammad Hosain Kayvanrad’s application for admission to the Graduate Program of electrical engineering at your university. I know Mr. Kayvanrad since 2004. He took my undergraduate course “Electromagnetics” in Fall 2004, and later my fourth-year course "Microwave I" in 2006. In both courses he was among the top 2% students and showed his enthusiasm in learning advanced topics by working on optional research projects. Mr. Kayvanrad is polite and considerate, and is among attentive students with a very good degree of maturity. As for his English proficiency, I should mention that his recent TOEFL score is an indication of his excellent command of English. His analytical ability has helped him to achieve the required knowledge for being a very good researcher in a number of topics in electrical engineering such as communications system theory, networking, etc. It should be added that his record shows that Mr. Kayvanrad was also among top students of a renowned high school in Tehran so that he has maintained a brilliant record for several years, which shows his talent and promise for being a successful graduate student. Another reason for his qualification for graduate studies is that Mr. Kayvanrad has voluntarily been involved in a number of B.Sc.-level projects running at our university, so his research ability and teamwork is also excellent. Based on the mentioned facts, I strongly recommend him for graduate studies at your university. Should you have any questions with respect to his application, please do not hesitate to contact me at the address below. Sincerely, Mahmoud Shahabadi Mahmoud Shahabadi, Associate Professor School of Electrical and Computer Eng., University of Tehran Kargar Ave. North, 14395/515 Tehran, Iran Phone: +98 (21) 61 11 49 23, Email: [email protected]
