Established in 1997, the Mt. Prospect Parks Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization that serves as the fundraising arm of the Mt. Prospect Park District. Its purpose is to enhance the quality of parks, facilities and recreation opportunities by raising funds through tax deductible donations.
Based on our plan’s goals and objectives, the District has formed employee COMMITTEES to begin implementing the objectives identified in the Strategic Plan in the areas of:

SoccerYouth Outdoor Spring Soccer League (grades K-8)This instructional co-ed league is divided into seven age divisions with teams formed per neighborhood zones and schools. Special requests can be made, but are NOT guaranteed! Weekday practice begins in late March and is arranged by your coach. Official season runs April—June with Sunday game daysNo Class: 4/21.We have introduced new uniforms for our Youth Soccer League! The cost for uniforms is included in your league fee. Kindergarten-Grade 2 – fun focus on player development and teamwork with 1 day a week practice. #3 ball is used.For eligibility, child must be enrolled in Kindergarten for up-coming school year.Grade 3-4 – Similar focus as K-2 division but offsides and “real” soccer skills are introduced with 1-2 practices per week. #4 size ball is used.Grade 5-8 – game is played with little or no restrictions and IHSA rules apply with minor modifications. American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course (15+ years)This American Red Cross program trains you to be a lifeguard at non-surf beaches, lakes, swimming pools and water parks. LotteriesLotteries are held for programs which go over their limit from all registrations received through November 15. Any registrations received after November 15 are processed simultaneously with all registrations received as availability exists on November 16.
RefundsTo view our refund policy go to www.mppd.org/refund. If refunds are given, a service fee of $3 per program is charged. Service fees are waived for any credit put on your Park District file. Receive a full refund when WE cancel a class.
CancellationsFor cancellation, you must contact us at least 2 full days prior to the start of a class, unless otherwise stated. We cannot guarantee a credit/refund if these guidelines are not met. Service fees still apply for refunds.
FeesA non-resident surcharge is added to most programs. This fee may be waived for certain activities at the discretion of the Park District. Residents are given admission priority to all activities, prior to walk-in registration. Senior fees for adults 62 and older.
Partner DistrictsMt. Prospect, Prospect Heights & River Trails Park Districts have an agreement to bring more recreational services to our residents. Your property taxes will continue to support only the Mt. Prospect Park District, but you will be entitled to certain additional benefits at the “partner” park districts…Prospect Hts. & River Trails.
All programs & facilities, except for the golf courses, offered by our partner districts are available to you at resident rates. Residents will still be given first priority when registering for their favorite programs within their home park district.
To take advantage of this outstanding partnership, when registering for programs or purchasing a membership at our partner districts, present valid proof of your name and address with a valid driver's license or state ID.
Priority Resident RegistrationResidents pay taxes to the Mt. Prospect Park District and have first priority in our registration process. In using a lottery system for our more popular programs, residents’ names are drawn first. After our residents have been served non-residents are allowed into our programs.
