Established in 1997, the Mt. Prospect Parks Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization that serves as the fundraising arm of the Mt. Prospect Park District. Its purpose is to enhance the quality of parks, facilities and recreation opportunities by raising funds through tax deductible donations.

Swim Program at RecPlexTeen Swim Lessons (12-16 years)Take the plunge and learn to swim. Classes are tailored to get teens comfortable in the water while working to improve stroke technique.

Adult Swim Lessons (16+ years) Designed for men and women who wish to learn or improve their swimming skills, strokes and techniques. It’s never too late to learn!

Little Minnows Parent and Tot(9-36 months)Tots gain confidence in the water with the support of their parents. Little Minnows learn through songs and games while helping them to transition into swimming lessons without their parent or guardian.

Goldfish Swim Academy(3-6 years)Start your young swimmers out right as they set out to explore the water and get comfort-able with the aquatic environment. Swimmers have a blast in this class while they learn, de-velop and master their swimming skills. Water safety is taught alongside stroke technique.

Little Shark Tails (4-6 years) Ready for the big pool? Shark Tails is de-signed for the 4-6 year old swimmer who has completed one level of swim lessons. Swim-mers will explore the big pool and reinforce the skills learned during Goldfish.

Shark Swim Academy(6-12 years) Swimmers progress through 6 levels covering swimming skills from beginner to advanced. Classes are tailored to children 6 and over and are developed to provide each child with a the best learning experience possible. Water safety is taught alongside stroke technique. Swim-mers are evaluated on the first day of class and placed in the appropriate level.

LotteriesLotteries are held for programs which go over their limit from all registrations received through November 15. Any registrations received after November 15 are processed simultaneously with all registrations received as availability exists on November 16.

RefundsTo view our refund policy go to www.mppd.org/refund. If refunds are given, a service fee of $3 per program is charged. Service fees are waived for any credit put on your Park District file. Receive a full refund when WE cancel a class.

CancellationsFor cancellation, you must contact us at least 2 full days prior to the start of a class, unless otherwise stated. We cannot guarantee a credit/refund if these guidelines are not met. Service fees still apply for refunds.

FeesA non-resident surcharge is added to most programs. This fee may be waived for certain activities at the discretion of the Park District. Residents are given admission priority to all activities, prior to walk-in registration. Senior fees for adults 62 and older.

Partner DistrictsMt. Prospect, Prospect Heights & River Trails Park Districts have an agreement to bring more recreational services to our residents. Your property taxes will continue to support only the Mt. Prospect Park District, but you will be entitled to certain additional benefits at the “partner” park districts…Prospect Hts. & River Trails.

All programs & facilities, except for the golf courses, offered by our partner districts are available to you at resident rates. Residents will still be given first priority when registering for their favorite programs within their home park district.

To take advantage of this outstanding partnership, when registering for programs or purchasing a membership at our partner districts, present valid proof of your name and address with a valid driver's license or state ID.

Priority Resident RegistrationResidents pay taxes to the Mt. Prospect Park District and have first priority in our registration process.
