The MOVUS symbol is made up of coloured elements spinning around a globe. This represents the brand’s global reach and the different products it brings to market in order to solve the differing needs of each MOVUS customer. The colours link with work safety standards (red, orange, yellow) and a fresh, clean approach (blue/green).

The symbol is used as part of the overall logo (see page 2).

The symbol is to be used on its own for any branding presentation that requires a stamp of ownership. It is a mark of quality, intelligence and innovation.

When used for watermarking, the symbol may be used in whole or in part with any % value of the branding colours (see note on page 3, and see use on page 11), as long as it is recognisable and unaltered.

The complete MOVUS logo includes the symbol, company name and tag line.

The logo represents MOVUS as an innovative company with a strong, solid foundation. Coupled with this, the lighter text colour reflects a lightness and agility in thinking.

MOVUS is to be represented with this logo at all times, where possible. Alternatives are shown on following pages, however the main logo is to be the first port of call before any alternatives are considered.S M A R T E R M A C H I N E S

The MOVUS brand colours are shown below. These colours are to be used with the values indicated for the specific purpose required.

There may be instances where a % of colour may be used (for example, a watermark) however be careful of the orange and red % colours as these can appear ‘peach’ and ‘pink’ and will not be in keeping with the brand. Using a % of the yellow and blue/greens will be more user friendly in this regard.

It is important for the logo to have space around it so it appears as an entity in itself. This creates a stronger presence and prevents the logo from mixing with surrounding elements.

Use this guide as a minimum space to leave around the logo. The measurement used is the M from MOVUS and this is scaled up or down relative to the logo size that is being used.

Use the logo on backgrounds. Many style guides suggest not to do this, however I believe that as long as the brand is presented with strength and good contrast, it should be flexible to be used against many background images. This would be especially helpful in presentations.

Each presentation done by MOVUS will be different, however there are some guidelines that will help to keep a brand consistency.

1. Use the brand colours.Where possible, only use the MOVUS brand colours when presenting information in a presentation. Photographs and images will have their own colour but backgrounds and text should use the brand colours.

2. Start with a solid colour or image page.Your presentation should always begin with a solid colour or image on the first page. Do not launch straight into detail or data. This page is like the cover of a book and needs to engage the customer in your business’ visual personality while you discuss your introduction. The information on this page should be the MOVUS logo and the title of the presentation.

3. Be consistent.Brand your presentation with one part that is consistent on each page. This might be the header or footer or corner branding. Keep it simple and keep it the same. It should not over-power the data/information on the slide.

4. Use contrast.While it is great to have consistency through a presentation, it is equally important to keep the viewer engaged by providing contrasting pages. The presentation is not a white page document, it is a lively discussion and expression of the MOVUS values, research and innovative solutions.

5. Use the logo wisely.Do not over-use the logo. That is to say, do not have a large full colour logo on each page. Make it small and discreet, but have it there. Perhaps it is a watermark or a mono version that is still crisp and clean while not distracting from the data/information on the slide.

5. Finish with a conclusion page.When your presentation is finished and you are left talking/discussing with the customer, have a relevant visual on screen. It can be a summary of important info or perhaps a simple branding slide similar to the first page. The people in the room will be looking at this for a while - make it ‘unboring’!
