Maratea - The journey of Nicola, Rocco, Franco e Salvatore begins from the pearl of Tyrrhenian sea. The little square in Maratea is the starting point where the enthusiasm of the group condenses, while the statue of the Redeemer gives the protection for this unique challenge.
Aliano - From the terrance where Carlo levi observed the lucanian civility, the clique drink with Aglianico wine to the memory of the poet and to Gianmaria
Volontè who personated Carlo Levi in the movie “Cristo si è fermato a Eboli”.
Craco - Basilicata ghost town is the final stop before reaching the coast. Craco, thanks to its suggestive atmosphere is the location of many movies such as
“Cristo si è fermato a Eboli” by Francesco Rosi e “The Passion of the Christ” by Mel Gibson.
Scanzano Jonico - Finally the band arrived but they are late. The music festival finished, the square in Scanzano jonico is empty but they decide to play
for an imaginary audience anyway.
Tramutola - In the little square of the village the first performance of the band called “wind turbines” takes place. According to Papaleo the girls of Tramutola are the most beautiful of the region.
Pertusillo Dam - Pertusillo dam is the place for a pleasant stop before restarting walking. Someone have a rest, someone go fishing, someone take a shower. But just there the clique meet the terrible bandit Carmine for the second time.

MOVIE TOUR BASILICATA coast to coast
“Basilicata coast to coast” is the story of a trip through Lucania. Four friends, united by their passion for music, decide to leave Maratea, a beach town in Basilicata on the Tyrrhenian coast, and walk to the “Festival di teatro canzone” in Scanzano (on the Ionian coast of the region). The trip is dotted with meetings, misadventures, music, local culinary tradition and breathtaking scenery which makes their experience unique. The trip is an opportunity to assess their lives to date, rediscover motivations and file away bad experiences because: “life is a trip which is too short unless you stretch it
out” (Basilicata coast to coast).The movie route arises from the success of the film and the desire of tourists to retrace the journey of the protagonists. There are two routes, one from Maratea to Val d’Agri, the other one from Aliano to Scanzano jonico. Two routes that contain the most important stages of the movie and designed to be covered in one day. But everyone can start and finish them as he wishes. Each stage is associated with a qr code that refer to the movie scenes. So once in place you can relive the magic of “Basilicata coast to coast”.
