Mountainfilm is America!s premier festival celebrating achievement in mountain, adventure, culture

and environment. We accept and screen films—doc and narrative, feature and short—on a broad

range of subjects. We like quirky causes and indomitable spirit.

We particularly encourage filmmakers to submit short

films, and are happy to offer a discounted fee. Films

that are twenty minutes or fewer in length qualify for a

$25 fee through February 12, 2010.

The theme of the 2010 Moving Mountains Symposium

will be EXTINCTION, a thread that will be woven

throughout the weekend of films and talks. We encour-

age filmmakers to submit films that explore the fate of

species on our planet.

Mountainfilm honors filmmakers and film subjects alike, awarding $10,000 in cash prizes to be

announced at the Closing Picnic, Monday, May 31, 2010.
