Mould Chart

For the highest standardsin Denture Aesthetics...

Myerson New Special teeth, made from a specially

formulated acrylic interpenetrating polymer network,

have been designed to meet the needs of both the

dentist and technician. They also meet the patient’s

demand for the highest aesthetics.

Myerson New Special are available in an extensive

selection of moulds and 16 V shades – A1 to D4.

The moulds have been individually characterised by

hand to simulate the appearance of well cared for

natural dentition.

Moulds range from flat to curved with either long or

short ridge laps. Labial carvings range from smooth

to rugged, enabling dental practitioners to suit the

personal characteristics of their most discerning

patients.

MYERSON SPECIAL AESTHETIC ADVANTAGES:

n Natural fluorescence: consistent shade values

under any light conditions.

n Natural translucency and surface lustre:harmonise well with adjacent natural teeth.

n Excellent for partial dentures: natural labial

carvings, irregular incisal edges and long lingual

form.

n High density: Absence of porosity - cleaner,

easier to grind.

n Superior durability: The Special cross linking

formula binds the molecules of resin so closely

together that they are resistant to staining and

wear.

n No discolouration: Myerson Special teeth will not

discolour during or after processing.

n Superbonding: No popouts - perfect bond makes

one-piece denture.

n Resilience: preserves tissue, less brittle - no

breakage - no inprocessing repairs.

ANTERIOR TEETH

Mould VarietyMyerson Special teeth are available in a wide variety of types and forms thatmake it possible to customise dentures to conform to the personalcharacteristics and facial features of most patients.

Upper Anterior MouldsMyerson anterior teeth are categorized into three mould types:1. ‘A’ or Aesthetic Moulds

• Slender forms with excellent balance between the ridge lap and bite• Subtle labial carving and lifelike blending

2. ‘Y’ or Youthful Moulds• These are similar to A moulds in aesthetic concept except that they have ashorter ridge lap• Beautiful sculpting with a vigorous youthful look• Longer more youthful lingual line• Fewer striations and age related effects than ‘P’ moulds

3. ‘P’ or Prime moulds• Designed for older patients

• Shorter, less sloping ridge laps to help butting the ridge in partial and immediatedentures• Excellent carvings with more pronounced age characteristics, ruggedness andcurvature

Posterior MouldsMyerson offer a choice of posterior teeth to enable the clinician andtechnician to meet the needs of the patient using the ‘least complicatedmethod’ Duratomic1 – cusp angle:30 degreesIndication: Full & Partial dentures

• Shallow cusp occlusal surfaces for natural form, good contacts and easylateral movement

• Fast and easy to set up in balanced occlusion with little or noadjustment after processing

• Simulated abrasion on lower cusps: blends well with natural dentition• Long lingual surfaces: improves comfort and phonetics for patient• Durablend material - Interpenetrating polymer network for exceptionalwear resistance

The ‘True to Life’ look for all agesAs the demand continues to grow

among older patients for a more

natural look in full or partial dentures,

more and more dental practitioners

are turning to the use of

characterised teeth in their full and

partial denture cases.

Such characterising features are to

be found in Myerson Special teeth

and serve to help the dentist and

technician to achieve a more natural

‘True to Life’ denture.

Many of these irregularities have been individually

added by hand and the

characterisation varies across the

shades i.e. heavier in the darker

shades and gentler in the lighter

shades. The location of fillings and

decalcified areas are added in a

non-symmetrical manner.

Colours and special effects come

from within the tooth rather than on

the surface, which means that the

teeth can be ground and modified

without affecting the shade.

handcrafted teethfrom Myerson
