Have we met our objectives?MTA MEMBERSHIP OBJECTIVES
OUR “TEST” TO SEE IF WE MEET THE OBJECTIVE
Organisational succession
- yes provides an internal source/pool of potential business members
Member development (cradle to grave)
- yes support individual’s career from start to retirement and keeps them within MTA
Reflect motor sector structure
- yes mirrors how sector is actually structured so members understand and appreciate the structure
Compliment current member categories
- yes does not compete with current business members and aligns current awards and guild memberships (which are individually based)
Entice potential members
- yes offers a wider membership group than currently available
Support branch network
- yes provides greater critical mass in branches and opportunities to engage/support/mentor
Position MTA Brand yes reinforces MTA’s vision – “must join organisation”

Transition & implementation
• If agreed this should be thought about:– Complete a business case– Goes to Board for approval
• If business case approved we would then need to:– Make rule changes– Hold a Special General Meeting to change constitution
