It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the
placement activities of our Institute. I would like to introduce final year
and pre-final year students of B. Tech course of various streams. In
addition to excelling at their studies, the students have been working hard
to develop their industry exposure through company research projects,
industry visits and guest lectures. Our students have also completed in
many inter-university competitions winning numerous awards. We have
imparted the learning of the course in such a way to develop our students
into global organizational leaders who can create knowledge as well as
innovation for their organizations. The courses are anchored in order to

innovations. The modern educational world is reverberating with waves of innovation
all around the world. In this dynamic milieu, it is mandatory that the young minds of
our country be nurtured and encouraged to be placed at the highest pinnacle of success.
The present batch of our young budding engineers is working hard to be a part of the
large dynamic industry. The intensive training and the encouraging learning
environment of our institute has made them proficient in the basic as well as
specialized fields of relevance. Our aim is to actively assist you in attracting and
identifying the individuals best suited to your needs and in developing a successful
recruitment relationship. We take care to groom our students according to the needs of
the industry. We seek to open frontiers of knowledge and reveal new horizons of
change, to broaden mindsets and to create positive attitudes in our students.
Our students get a lot of industrial exposure by their internship and industrial visits.
The Students undergo a mandatory internship semester (6th Semester) at various
industries training in their summer vacations in reputed
industries/institutions/organizations, as part of their academic requirements.
I also express my sincere gratitude to all those organizations who have extended their
active co- operation to the department in accomplishing its endeavor successfully. It is

Motihari College of Engineering is a government college, fully funded by
the Government of Bihar. The college is affiliated to Aryabhatta
Knowledge University, Patna and approved by AICTE (New Delhi). The
institute was established in 2008 with three departments namely,
Department of Computer Science &Engineering, Department of Mechanical
Engineering and Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Later, the institute received Department of Civil Engineering in 2011. The
vision of the institute is to facilitate transformation of students into good
human beings, responsible citizens and competent professionals for socio
economic development of state and nation. The primary mission of the
institution is to make the teaching learning process simpler and stronger
and inspire socially and economically backward students upon a strong
foundation of secular, humanitarian worldview. It also focuses on to
provide quality education to our students. Recently Motihari College of
Engineering signed Twinning Agreement with JNTU College of Engineering,
Hyderabad through MHRD New Delhi. The agreement was signed to
improve quality of teaching learning at Motihari college of Engineering.
The intakes of college have increased to 60 in each branch since 2018
session.
CAMPUS:
Motihari College of Engineering has a permanent campus of 48 acres
located at Bairiya Fursatpur, Motihari, East-Champaran District of Bihar,
India. The college is easily accessible by air, bus and train. The nearest
airport, Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna is situated at
159 KM distance from the college. The connectivity of train is available
from various parts of country to Bapudham Railway Station (BMKI)
MCE, Motihari is 8km from nearest railway station Bapudham Motihari
and 5kms from Motihari Bus-Stand situated at Chhautani. Regular auto
rickshaw services are available from both places to institute. It is
approximately 2.5kms from NH28A.

inception in 2008. The goal of
the department is to provide
quality education and cutting
edge research in various areas
of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering for graduates and to earn itself a very good reputation in the
state and national academic network. The department also aims to
develop active collaboration with various industries in the energy, power
and communication sectors. Currently, the department has an annual
intake of 60 students in the B.Tech program in Electrical and Electronics
Engineering. The department has laboratories with state-of-the art
equipment and latest versions of software platforms. The department
actively organizes Faculty Development Programmes, Workshops and
Expert Lectures from time to time. Faculty members of the department
have been regularly contributing towards refereed National and
International Journals and continuously participating in renowned
conferences.

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that involves Design, Construction and Maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment encompassing roads, bridges, canals, tunnels, dams, sewage systems, buildings, ports and airports. Civil Engineering can be classified as Structural, Water Resources, Environmental, Construction, Transportation, Geo–technical, Materials, Coastal and Municipal. After finishing B. Tech, a candidate can get employment in road projects, building work, consultancy firms, quality testing laboratories or housing societies. Civil engineers are employed in all the major construction projects carried out by the state or central government, the railways, private construction companies, military, engineering services, etc.
To establish a center of excellence for imparting the technical knowledge
and skill of civil Engineering by effective teaching and learning
environments, practical experience & Industrial exposure and promoting
research and consultancy to meet the current and future challenges of the
society.

Department of Civil Engineering

Mechanical engineering department
is one of the oldest and leading
departments of MCE Motihari. It
has well equipped laboratories and
highly qualified and experienced
faculties. The department plays an
important role on the academic
development of the institute. Apart
from academics, the students are
also trained in various fields of mechanical engineering by hands on
experience in workshops. With well-equipped laboratories and guides,
students get to know the real situation of industries, learn the working
principles of various types of machines and equipment and do
troubleshooting. Students are encouraged to do research and develop
models in field of mechanical engineering. They are trained in machine
design, working of I.C. engines, Thermodynamics, etc. though practical
models. Mechanical Engineering is an engineering discipline that involves
the application of principles of Physics for analysis, design, manufacturing
and maintenance of mechanical systems. Mechanical engineers use the
principles of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and energy in the
design and analysis of automobiles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems,
manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, medical
devices and more.

The MCE, Motihari is actively involved in Collaborative Activities with
JNTU, College of Engineering, Hyderabad. The TEQIP-III – NPIU has set
up a scheme of collaboration between a developed institute and a
developing institute to accelerate the advancement. TEQIP-III funded
engineering colleges are assigned with a mentor institute to guide and
observe in the run of technical development. The collaboration scheme of
TEQIP-III brings the two institutes together to help each other in learning-
teaching process, state of the art technologies, lab developments, students
and teachers interaction with each other and so on. The Motihari College
of Engineering has been a mentee of and collaborative with JNTU College
of Engineering Hyderabad.

OUR MENTOR INSTITUTTE:

The college has an active Training and Placement Cell which conducts
various career development activities to look into the placement of its
students from various branches. The cell has started to function in its full
swing in 2019. Since then there have been a ray of hope for the students to
get job after their degree. Mr. Deepak Kumar of CSE coordinates the Cell.
MCE, Motihari provides opportunities to the final year students to be
placed in the various companies coming for placement drives either in the
institution or in pool campus drive around the college.
The objective of the placement cell is to help students to identity their
career goals and provide an edge into the present day competitive job
market. Our mission is to produce professionally competent engineers by
providing value-based and quality education to students and to make
them adaptable to ever-changing demands and requirements of the world.
The scope of the work of placement extent form organizing various
workshops for professional skills to providing internship to students in
various organization during summer breaks and preparing students for
final placements. Recently the Placement Cell has conducted a campus
placement drive in which Pieinfocomm of Lucknow has visited and
recruited bright talent.
We share a wonderful relationship with industry as they continue to seek
our assistance in various projects where our students participate actively.
We have always fulfilled the expectations of our past recruiters and hope
to give our best this year also. We encourage all private and government
sector companies to participate in the recruitment process and we are sure
that the students recruited will play pivotal role in the growth of the
respective organizations.
Training and Placement Cell arranges and coordinates various
programmes that aim at molding the students so as to meet the industry
expectations in career building and in turn bring laurels to the Institution.
