Mother’s Day Message

Welcome … for Parent Child Dedication At Parkview we celebrate the gift of children to their families and

take seriously the roles and responsibilities both parents and the

church family have in their nurture and godly instruction.

ANNOUNCEMENTS ~ May 9, 2021

NEXT SUNDAY, May 16

This will mark the last week of our 8am mask-required alternative service.

We are anticipating seeing everyone together again at 10am. Masks are

welcome if that is how you are most comfortable.

WORKDAY THIS SATURDAY May 15

All welcome to join us this Saturday, May 15, 8am—11am. A good turnout

will help accomplish a lengthy work list. Whether you’ve never come or

it’s been a while, we could use your help for this Spring Spruce UP. And

thanks to Corey Keller/the trustee team for their leadership and work.

JOY … Fellowship of Senior Saints

This fellowship will “restart” with a SOUP POTLUCK, 11:30am in the Café

Court, Thursday, May 20. It will be a good time for new folks to get

acquainted and involved. Bring a crock pot of your favorite soup or an

item to go with. Questions? Contact Barb Cooper (394.5434) or the office.

ON THE EDUCATION MINISTRY HORIZON!

FINAL Awana night with AWARDS CEREMONY will be Wed, May 19

6:30pm. Family and friends invited!

There are places to serve! Volunteers are needed for ministries we plan

to reopen by summertime (nursery; summer Children’s Church; VBS). Email

Lauralee with questions or to volunteer; [email protected].

Nursery online SIGN UP. On the website homepage, find the quick link to

new information about the nursery co-op format and register your child.

You can also register as the entry table at the current “parent nursery”.

NO parent-nursery format or preschool/elementary children’s church will

be offered on Sunday, May 30 (Memorial Day). We want to give all work-

ers a break as we transition to summer ministries starting on June 6.

Camp Parkview (a.k.a. VBS). It will be “S’more Jesus, Less Me” according

to director Amanda Oaks! This is a 4-evening format (June 8 & 22; July 13 &

27, 6:00—8:30pm) with Bible lessons, small group discussions, praise and

worship, crafts, snacks and games. Stop by the foyer table to learn more …

ALSO there is child registration, volunteer sign up for youth and adults.

WOW (Women of Worth)

Final meeting of the year for this MOMs

group held the second Thursday evening

each month through the school year.

Come check it out Thursday, May 13, and

plan for next year! Meal at 6:00pm plus

craft, fellowship, with childcare. Must call

Kalynn (209.3044) for reservations!

COMING YOUTH DATES …

Wed, May 26—Incoming 6th graders come

at 6:00pm for pizza with Pastor Terry, with

regular youth group to follow. Ends at 8pm

Middle School Bike Trip—peddle Mickelson

Trail June 14-18; $100. Deadline: June 6.

LEAD THE CAUSE—student leadership trip

to CO, July 5-10; Talk to Pastor Terry if this

is your “fit”. Info for both at foyer fireplace.

family. We have Steven’s home address as

well as details for contributions to Charity’s

memorial fund for Charity. A recording of her

Opportunities for Children... Nursery…Childcare for infants—age 2 is available in

our parent-supervised nursery area in the Café Court.

Attendants are there to assist you.

Preschoolers...ages 3—5 attend children’s church for

the entire hour. Enter through the nursery entrance

foyer and check in before 10:00am.

Elementary...Kindergarten—5th grade are have their

classes for the entire hour. Check the map on foyer

bulletin board for the classes and room locations.
