Annual Diocesan Appeal - Thanks to all who made a pledge to the Annual Diocesan Appeal. A gift to the ADA, no matter how great or small, can go a long way. A pledge of $10 or $20 a month can add up. Even a one-time gift is helpful to the cause. To those who have contributed, we are most grateful. If you have not yet made a gift to the ADA, we invite you to do so today. There

are pledge cards on the table in the vestibule. Every dollar raised to make our goal supports important diocesan services and every dollar raised over our goal will be kept in the parish to help us with renovations.

Congratulations - Congratulations to Abigail Justine Mathews, Riley Ann McAllister, Elizabeth Stephanie Quandt, Henry Robert Albertson and Ashton Wayne Mathews who will be receiving their First Holy Communion this Sunday.

StLukeEureka.com - Out of town for the weekend and want to see the latest bulletin? Want to know when Holy Week Masses are? Want to know the five steps to a good confession or the history of the Stations of the Cross? Check out our website for these and many other helpful bits of information.

Renovation Prep - The 24 hour meditation room is closed as we prepare for our next phase of renovations.

Ladies Guild - The Ladies Guild thanks all who helped make our salad luncheon a success. The salads were delicious and enjoyed by all. We received many compliments on both the variety of salads and our nun centerpieces donated by Marilyn Weidner. We will hold the last meeting of the year at 7:00 pm, May 12th in the church basement when we will install next year’s officers. Thanks to all who participated in our events during the year. Hostesses are Lannie Ashbrook and Ginger Hoekstra.

Religious Ed Registrations - Parents, please review the 2015-2016 religious education forms, sign the form and return it to the office. I need to know how many books to order so we can get an early-bird discount on the shipping charges. A letter will be sent out this summer with the registration form rate for next year. Our program begins with the kindergarten class. If you have a child who will be entering our program next fall, please contact Marcia in the office at 467-4855.

Outer Beauty - Join us on Friday May 1st & 8th to work in the flower gardens around the church. We will begin at 1:00 PM. You can also adopt a bed that you will agree to take care of for the season. Contact Ann with any questions at [email protected]. Also, if anyone knows where the hose is that was by the back door, please let Ann know.

For Your Marriage - “Let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.” (1Jn 3:18) Saying “I love you” is good. Being true to your words is better. Showing your love by doing something nice or sacrificing for your beloved is true love. What act of love can you do today?

From prayer and sacraments to basketball and swimming, Emmaus Days helps young men achieve a more spiritual approach to everyday life. ACT OF CONTRITION

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You,

and I detest all my sins because of Your just punishments,

but most of all because they offend You my God,

Who are all good and deserving of all my love.

I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to sin no more

and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Amen
