For the month of December, three students were nominated for Athlete of the Month: congratulations to Serena Hu (Grade 10...Sr Girls Basketball), Ahmed Abou Elenin (Grade 11...Wrestling), Mina Veljkovic (Grade 8...Grade 8 Girls Basketball) for their nominations. Congratulations to Ahmed Abou Elenin for being awarded as the Athlete of the Month for December!! Ahmed is in his first year of representing Moscrop in Wrestling. Ahmed currently travels between Moscrop and Burnaby Central to train and compete with their Wrestling Team. He has had remarkable success in the first month of competition, coming 1st at "War on the Floor" Novice, and after competing in back-to-back tournaments, going face-to-face with the best wrestlers in the province in the Elite division, placing third. GOOD NEWS Moscrop Ski / Snowboard Team Shout Out! Congratulations to Moscrop's ski and snowboard team who raced in their 3rd downhill race in Whistler this past weekend.
