Based on the set of Mosquetín Fulling, you will learn its interesting history of this contraption which appeared in Europe in the middle ages, based on the use of the force of the water to beat the fabric (wool or linen) until one got a compact piece that offered better resistance against the cold and rain.

In Camariñas, known as the "Lace’s Capital", you will know the bobbin lace, an exceptional witness to the survival of the popular arts and crafts representing a way of life around which revolves the social and cultural activity in the area.

Afterwards, we suggest a visit to the Vimianzo Castle, a building constructed at the end of the 12th century, and that it now houses a reenactment about the history of the Castle and an exhibition of various live crafts and traditional products. Among them is the workshop of Galician flax, where you can learn the techniques of traditional and artisanal work of this fabric, which the Castle attempts to recover by reenacting the process used from the 18th century from the plant’s natural state until it turns into fiber and shines in a quality garment.

DAY 2After resting from an intense day knowing the more traditional side of the textile industry in Galicia, in the city of A Coruña you will be to see the origins of the INDITEX textile Empire by visiting the first of Zara store, which opened in 1975 at 64-66 Juan Flórez Street. Previously, Amancio Ortega, co-founder with Rosalia Mera began to work in the fashion world at the prestigious Gala Shirt Store at the 21 Notoriado Street in La Coruña. That original store closed its doors to the public by the end of 2014.

manufacture of technical textiles, which are pretty much associated with Galicia like the sea: During your visit to Cadenote you will find out how sails for any type of boats are designed, cut and manufactured. After the visit you can embark on a journey through the estuary which will take you to Lorbé wooden platforms that will serve as an example of the use of strings for the production of its famed mussel. The tour will also include a visit to the harbor netters and your trip will finish with fantastic and impressive sights of A Coruña from the sea.
