Established in 1947, Leslie R. Tipping Ltd and its associate companies have grown to become one of the leading suppliers to the funeral trade in the UK. Three generations of Tipping ownership have seen the business transform from a home-based local supplier to a nationwide provider of funeral requisites.

Under the more recent stewardship of owner James Tipping, the company has enjoyed significant growth and expansion, operating from three sites, with 35,000 square foot of manufacturing and warehousing facilities supported by 60 employees.

Leslie R. Tipping Ltd’s manufacturing facility, Fabrics UK Ltd, is the largest supplier of coffin gowns and interiors in the UK, producing more than 230,000 units per year.

The experienced procurement team have established long term supply relationships in the UK and internationally. The company’s domestic and international spend is more than £3m per year – buying on this scale supports a progressive competitive footprint so that customers can also enjoy the benefits.

Leslie R. Tipping Ltd, Hulme Limited and HO Rawcliffe Limited are ideally structured to service funeral directors’ requirements across a wide range of products. Adopting a more sophisticated approach to stock holdings using management information makes sure the customer gets the best possible service.
