There are a total of 53 Riads (private residences) of one to four rooms, each uniquely decorated and lavishly appointed in regard of Moroccan authenticity. Indeed, each riad has a distinctive character where beautiful fabrics of silks and brocades, original and contemporary works of art compliment the finest custom made furniture.

With a fascinating fusion between tradition and modernity, the Riad roofs are equipped with rain sensors and automatically close at the first drop of rain. Every room is equipped with a control touch panel, synonymous of total comfort.

The first lounge-restaurant in Marrakesh, its musical concept has made it famous. Bathed in the pink glow of its adobe walls, the lovely Marrakesh throws open its doors to all culture lovers. Architectural masterpieces and traces of the human experience stand within these walls. Marrakesh is composed of an array of influences that defy eras, a mosaic of colours where the wonders of the past and the present come into focus.

Stroll through the city. Walk through a gate into the medina and advance into the old district. This is where you'll find the beating heart of the former royal capital and the famous minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque. The tower rises 250 feet like a beacon over Marrakesh. It is also a signature of Islamic art, for its design and proportions inspired Hassan Tower in Rabat and the Giralda of the Seville Cathedral.

MEDINA & THE SOUK

Located very near the Jardin Majorelle – acquired by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé in 1980 – the musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech occupies a new 4,000 m² building. It includes a 400m² permanent exhibition space devoted to the work of the French créateur and designed by Christophe Martin. The museum also includes a hall for temporary exhibitions, a research library with over 5,000 volumes, a 140-seat auditorium, bookshop and terrace café.

YVES SAINT LAURENT MUSEUM

DAY 3

Between the Medina and the Palmeraie, in the Hivernage district, lies the coolest nightclub in Marrakech. Adorned with carmine red velvet alcoves, walls of rich fabrics, Matryoshka dolls and large chandeliers, Raspoutine is a Parisian import with Russian heritage.

Theatro on the other hand, is where the magic happens. Built in an old theatre, it has been the best night club in Morocco since 2004, and it regularly hosts international DJs Live performance and special evenings.

Served in the hotel’s swimming pool pavilion, there’s splendid seasonal options as well as a huge selection of seafood including lobster, salmon and juicy oysters. La Mamounia prizes itself on using locally sourced ingredients, and even has its own garden to cultivate herbs and vegetables.

Customers are greeted with a glass of champagne upon arrival for Sunday brunch, confirming that the hotel is one of the most elegant places to dine in all of Marrakech.
