Morningstar has worked closely with your org-anization to customize a unique Enterprise Edition that may include some or all of the capabilities described in this brochure. This custom edition has been configured based on your organization’s assessment of your business needs and workstyle in order to offer you the right solution at the right price.

Timely InformationAdvisor Workstation is Web-based, so you’ll always be working with the most up-to-date information. And you can use it in the office, at home, or when traveling—wherever you can access the Internet.

Modular StructureAdvisor Workstation’s functions are organized with-in modules—Planning, Sales/Hypotheticals, Clients & Portfolios, and Research. This logical structure creates an efficient working platform that reflects the way you do business.

Fully SupportedAdvisor Workstation is backed by Morningstar’s expert product development, design, and support teams to help you meet your business objectives. As a subscriber, you will benefit from our ongoing technology enhancements and new features.

Research Module

Powerful Success-Modeling Tools The Planning Module’s tools are designed to help you lead your clients to appropriate, informed decisions about their financial future. As you test each scenario or strategy, present your clients with wealth forecasts and expected outcomes based on sophisticated Monte Carlo simulations. With each scenario, long-term future results are presented as a range of possibilities, showing the probability of success for each different strategy. After you have determined the basic portfolio allocation, you can use the Portfolio Construction Tool from the Clients & Portfolios Module to recommend specific securities for each of a client’s accounts.

Meaningful Risk AssessmentThe Planning Module’s Risk Assessment Questionnaire helps you quickly assess a client’s true tolerance for risk. Once you establish a plan for your clients, use the Risk Assessment Results Report to clearly illustrate the risks associated with a recommended asset mix, based on historical performance. By guiding clients to the most appropriate asset allocations, you maximize the chance they will stick with a plan, despite any short-term performance fluctuations.

Planning for Multiple GoalsWhen your clients or prospects present their multiple investment goals—purchase of a home, funding their children’s college education, or saving for retirement—use the Planning Module’s proprietary Goal Planner function to create a complete picture of their financial future based on all of their investment and account details. From there you can explore how different invest-ment strategies and asset allocations will allow clients to reach each of their specific goals.

Planning Solutions for Your Clients’ Multiple Goals

Advisor Workstation’s Planning Module supports the development of sophisticated investment plans to meet your clients’ investment goals. It gives you tools to show clients how and why different strategies might succeed. And, most importantly, it facilitates smart, informed decisions between you and your clients.
