More sex. Unfortunately, our appetites for more are never fully satisfied. There’s no denying that the urge to feed your appetite can become overwhelming, thereby adversely affecting your relationships. So where do you find the strength to say no? DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 1. What have you done in the past to control your appetites? 2. Have you ever said, “This is the last time I will ever . . .” and eventually found yourself hungering for more? 3. “The more you eat, the more you want to eat.” Do you agree or disagree? 4. Read Titus 2:11–14. The “grace of God” can mean different things depending on who you ask. How would you define God’s grace? 5. Consider your appetites. What appetites do you have the most difficult time controlling? 6. What’s one thing you can do to say no to a particularly difficult appetite in your life? MOVING FORWARD The Bible is clear that God wants the best for us. That may mean saying no to feeding an unhealthy appetite. Or it could mean simply saying no . . . not yet. Regardless, we need to take control of our appetites lest they take control of us. The grace of God helps us do that. May that be your prayer: God, grant me the wisdom and strength to know when and how to say no. CHANGING YOUR MIND For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present ageTitus 2:11-12
