Fully hardened, chromium-protected guide rails en-sure long-term measuring accuracy. The electronicmeasuring scale systems are of non-contact type andare therefore wear-free. An anti-fall securing systemfor the Z motion, implemented by means of a patentedcable-breakage safety system, protects both man andmachine.

Already in the eighties MORA developed its own soft-ware in trying to offer to the customer a complete pa-ckage and in 1999 the company founded its ownsoftware subsidiary company Inspect3D.

In the nineties MORA concentrated on developing lay-out measuring machines to milling machines. With theStudio Mill and Gantry Mill marks were set worldwide. The future belongs to the innovative measuring me-thods multisensor and optical measuring. With theFOCUS and QUANTUS series the complete range ofthe newest measuring technology can be offered tothe customers.

In November 2009 out of MORA Fabrik für MessgeräteH. Freund GmbH resulted MORA-AEH MetrologyGmbH. The production of measuring and milling machi-nes continues unchanged at the location at Aschaffen-burg.

We feel strong for the challenges of the future and areglad to assist to our customers with customized mea-suring systems.

MORA, founded in 1909 by Stefan Morhard and FranzFreund, has now been contributing to the mainten-ance and improvement of the quality standards of pro-ducts for more than hundred years. From itsbeginnings with the production of simple measuringinstruments, such as height gages and scribing tools,MORA has become established as one of the leadinginnovators in measuring technology.

MORA possesses modern fabrication facilities, whichenable us to produce ourselves the essential compo-nents of our measuring machines and so we can gua-rantee uncompromisingly their quality.

MORA measuring machines characterize themselvesby their robust construction and high-precision per-formance and are equally suitable for use in bothworkshops and laboratories.

Innovative, quality-conscious and customer-orientated:This is MORA and this for more than 100 years.

MµTos

Layout measuring machines

MµTos is a premium class column type measuring ma-chine which was designed for large measuring volu-mes of industrial metrology. Due to the powerful drivetechnology, MµTos both possesses a maximum per-formance and provides highly precise measuring re-sults. In combination with big objects to be measured,an optimum of accessibility is reached due to installa-tion at ground floor level with covers accessible forcars. Measuring machines can be delivered in duplexversion to enlarge the volume to be measured. Thecompletely encapsulated guideways permit use in pro-duction without any problems.

ProfiMORA Profi indeed is a professional measuring instru-ment if you have to cope with universal and precisemeasuring tasks. Whether it is laterally mounted at themeasuring plate or whether it is running on the mea-suring beam as base machine, you can apply the typeProfi with its different X-axes-guide way systemseverywhere you want. Guide way systems on roller be-arings provide precise movement in all axes. Most pre-cise measuring results and always repeatablemeasuring cycles will be reached by the innovativedrive and CNC-technology in combination with the eva-luation software INCA 3D.

AssistentDue to its lightweight construction and its ergonomicoperation, our type Assitent is the ideal companion forworkshop operation, where it is a matter of manualmeasuring or marking out. The precise guide way sys-tems on roller bearings will always guarantee accuratemeasuring results or the exact marking out. There isno problem to upgrade the Assistent from marking outmachine with serial digital readout to universal mea-suring machine with evaluation software INCA 3D.

Primus MPrimus M is standing for manual measuring in con-nection with ergonomics and usability. This series forsmall and middle-size workpieces enables the custo-mer the entrance into the coordinate measuring tech-nique to an excellent cost/performance ratio.

PrimusOur new bridge type measuring machine Primus is theresult of intensive development efforts on the basis ofmost modern engineering technology. A completely newmachine conception in lightweight construction with im-proved highly dynamic engines is enabling a technicallyinnovative measuring machine of the newest generation.

Primus is connecting higher accuracy with improved dy-namic engines in a contemporary design. The enclosedguide way components guarantee dirt-resistance toget-her with a compact machine construction. Depending onthe required measurement, the machine type Primus isapplied in standard or higher accuracy.

The Primus-HA series stands for high-precision mea-suring technology produced by MORA measuring ma-chine. Precise measuring results will be guaranteeddue to high inherent rigidity and robust cross sections. The machine conception of the Primus-HA series withautomotive measuring table and rigid construction ofthe bridge type portal is eliminating even minimal ki-nematical interfering influences. Powerful engines pro-vide maximum dynamics between measuring pointsand during the measuring cycle.

Primus L / XL / GTA technically mature guiding system, based on air cus-hion and including optimal guide way characteristics, distinguishes the large type series of the Primus familyproduced by MORA. Consistent materials out of gra-nite are ensuring a steady thermal behavior of all 3guide way axes.

The demand of highest possible accuracy at maximumdynamic requires an optimum stability/moved mass-ratio. It is the basis of the different bridge type con-struction of the machine types Primus-L/-XL and -GT.The experience gained at a great number of realizedbig projects was playing a decisive role at the new de-velopment of this machine conception.

Pico

Multisensor measuring machine

Pico – for Productive Measuring A highly precise linear guide way system combinedwith highly dynamical engines make Pico the idealmeasuring place in the production area. The completehousing of guiding elements as well as a compensationof thermal fluctuations provide maximum protectionagainst detrimental effects due to production. An air-conditioned room won’t be required. Due to its com-pact construction, there will be a room for Pico nearlyeverywhere.

QuantusThe multi-sensor machine Quantus is the result of in-tensive development work. It provides the possibility tomeasure your objects with most different measuringsystems. Tactile, scanning, optical or via laser scanner– the multi-sensor machine Quantus can solve anymeasuring task due to most modern control techno-logy and innovative measuring software.

MORA Milling Technology combines the possibilityto measure, digitize and later or parallel process your3D-model in one single device. MORA Milling ma-chines have been especially developed for proces-sing soft materials such as clay, hard and soft foams, polystyrene and similar materials. MORA Mill concep-tion distinguishes itself by a solid machine con-

struction combined with high flexibility of milling resp.measuring systems as well as maximum insensibilityagainst dirt. Different versions of boring and millingheads as well as efficient software packages for di-gitizing or measuring make your MORA Mill a uni-versal center in design or model making.

Software

Modern measuring technology makes a considerablecontribution to reduce costs and increase quality. Theefficiency of these attributes is even improved by soft-ware which is easy to operate and which, at the sametime, is able to solve any measuring tasks.

Therefore, the conception of our software is as follows:

• User friendly desktop with modular structure• Measuring of geometry and free formed surfaces

in one measuring program • Manual, CNC, Online, Offline, N-Plex• Graphical programming and display of the

different measuring steps• Direct CAD interface (IGES, VDA, CATIA,

PRO-E……)• Label and report editor for customized reports• Statistical evaluation and form and position• Great number of output formats which can be

created individually• Tactile, scanning optical probe systems• Changer magazines, continuously adjustable

pivoting and swiveling units, rotary tables• Connection with measuring devices

(measuring machines, measuring arms, laser tracker, …)

• DMIS I++• Milling, boring, marking out, digitizing • Special functions : pallet measuring,

programming functions, pipe measuring program
