First off I want to wish all our members a very you a happy
New Year. I want to thank all our volunteers who helped with our Thanksgiving dinner and a special thank to Bill Moore. I would also like to thank all our volunteers who helped during out Jukebox Legends night (thanks to Dakota & Marcus).
It takes a lot of volunteers to keep our Lodge going so thanks to each one of you. Each of us needs to lend a hand. I would also like to thank our office, kitchen and social quarter’s staff for the great job you each do. There are a lot of great things that are going to come about in the next couple of months. Want to win a couple of Moose bucks just check out the power point in the social quarters, want to win a few more attend your Lodge meetings. There will be more entertainment coming. Hope we can have some great turn-outs for these functions. We need your support to be able to keep these kinds of things going. Want to have more entertainment, talk to one of your officers. Don't forget to check out the SIGN-UP board. Remember, elections are around the corner.
WE COULD ALWAYS USE YOUR HELP.
Happy New Year, Governor Steve Hodgkins

Our Defending Circle
was broken:
For all the Moose and WOTM, moving up in the ranks is a great thanks from your co-moose and International. There are rules, guidelines and procedures that must be met, or make advancement smoother. Although I cannot speak for the WOTM, the LOOM has Moose Legionnaire and Fellowship as levels of membership as well as recognitions.
When our Fellowship committee met this fall, we were unable to recommend a Moose Legionnaire for advancement. Many were considered, a couple close, but, none fully qualified. There are many points to consider.
The Fellowship degree is achieved by length of both membership and Moose Legion Status. Number of members signed both to the Lodge and Legion, committee involvement and/or chairs held play additional roles. The outside and inside lodge maintenance, district, state and international elected positions, appointments add additional points to be considered. When the lodge committee meets these are reviewed and guide us to our decision.
There are specific requirements as well as added “points. If you have questions ask a Moose Legionnaire, Fellow or Pilgrim. Bottom Line:

Dear Co-Workers: Thank you to all who volunteered with the children’s Halloween carnival, pork fest, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas decorating, the Christmas parade, and the children’s
Breakfast with Santa. The WOTM Christmas dinner went very well. I’m sorry I haven’t the room to thank all of you individually. Your assistance is appreciated.
Coming up, we need to have our membership to consider stepping up and running for office. Elections are coming up in March and we need some new blood. Please give some serious consideration to becoming an officer, it is an amazing experience. Remember, we are all in this together for Mooseheart and Moosehaven. It’s been a very busy year and I thank you all. May 2017 be the best year ever for everyone.
Fraternally yours, Barb Buza, Senior Regent (715)-341-2596

Congratulations Moose Members, we finally did it! We put a float in the holiday parade. The purpose? To let out one of the biggest secrets in Stevens Point. What the Moose is and some of what we do. This wouldn't have been possible without the tireless efforts of our head moose Steve Hodgkins. Steve rebuilt the trailer and engineered the lighting (donated much of the materials also). Special thanks to Mary K for her deco vision as well. Thanks to all our little helpers too. The boy and girls that represented us for Scouting, athletics and Katie for the Vets/King Home.
Membership Note: Members, people about us! People like us, people we see all the time. These are the friends, family and associates that you can invite to come to the Lodge. We have many events; dinners, dances, family activities, activates for couples and friends. Ask a person, couple or many to join you here at the Moose Family Center. You will be surprised how often they will ask you how to become a member! We are so busy making reasons to come down, all you have to do is stop in or visit the website to check out the next opportunity. We need all our members to step up to the plate and give a little more to increase membership. Know a vet or EMT? Check out the new International promotion! Turn on the app - Moose1572 - FireFan if you like football, smart phone games or just seeing what new is out there! Mike Gentry; Membership Chairman
