 Fort Sheridan:

Historic Fort Sheridan maintained by Moore Landscapes since 2000 is a residential community on the North Shore of Lake Michigan. Fort Sheridan was originally developed as a US Army installation in the late 1800’s consisting of 94 contributing historic building on 640 acres of prime Lake Michigan property.

In 1997 Fort Sheridan was decommissioned as a military base.

W.W.Grainger:

W.W.Grainger is a 60 acre corporate campus in Lake Forest Illinois. General maintenance includes all manicured and native landscapes; turf preparation, native plant selection and care, as well as maintaining the 2.5 mile walking paths for all employees to enjoy. Every fall we oversee a prescribed burn to select native areas, performed by a permitted subcontractor.

We have developed a long term Sustainable Sites Initiative plan to control and eradicate invasive species on site, increased numbers of native perennials and shrubs, and further enhanced the walking trail for employees to enjoy on their daily walks.

Northwestern Medicine:

Northwestern Medicine is located in the heart of the bustling city. The Parkway areas between the sidewalk and street are the primary areas for landscaping. These areas are subject to abuse from the winter weather and urban conditions and require constant maintenance and supplemental planting to keep looking nice.

Landscape maintenance on the busy hospital campus is a challenge. Crews have to be aware at all times of the surroundings. Ongoing safety training is done that recognizes trip hazards and safe equipment and plant staging areas.

Harbour Pointe:

Bright seasonal annuals welcome residents and visitors to Harbor Point. This area is a challenge for annuals. High winds, fluctuating temperatures all affect the plantings here.

Hawthorn trees on the east side are subject to strong winds from the lake. They are sprayed 3 times in the spring and are lit for the Holidays with lights.

Presidents Plaza:

Presidents Plaza is a group of four interconnected towers on a fifteen acre parcel located in Chicago, IL. Much of the two acres of landscaped area has been planted above underground parking. The limited soil volume and the subzero winter temperatures of 2013-14 took their toll on much of the plant material which had to be severely cutback.

Presidents Plaza is a Class A office complex and as such, much emphasis is put on seasonal color rotations and detailed maintenance. High pedestrian traffic and vehicle parking must be considered in all landscape practices from application of pesticides to the selection of plant designs.
