BADGES IN UCL MOODLE – AN EXAMPLE

completed:What “completion” entails depends on the activity in

question and its settingsE.g. Viewing, posting, submitting, receiving grade, manually

HOW DO BADGES IN MOODLE WORK?

• Students can see what badges are available for their module from the menu on the Moodle course homepage.

• When the linked activity is completed (or the badge is manually awarded), the student receives an email notification (and a message within the Moodle messaging system also appears). The message wording can be customised for each badge.A link to further information in Moodle can be included.
