Golden Soccer Star - Introduction

Dear all,

I am reviewing Golden Soccer Star, a product from the Steve Davidson stable.

Overview

Golden Soccer Star is for betting in the Correct Score market - either with onlinebookies or the exchanges - for selected games.

Games are selected by using a simple rule in the Golden Soccer Star manual.Alternatively selections are emailed to you by Steve - this email service is at anadditional cost, and is only available to people who have purchased the Golden SoccerStar product.

If you are manually making your own selections, you go through the leagues that youwant to bet on, and use a head to head comparison site on the internet (link given toyou in the product) and apply your rule. Then you use 2 different odds comparisonsites (again, links provided) to find out the best odds available for each correct scorethat we are going to bet on.

The leagues covered by the selections email are : English Premier, Scottish Premier,German Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Spanish Primera, Italy Serie A and the UEFAChampions League.

Placing Bets

As mentioned earlier, once you have manually shortlisted your selections (or receivedthe email), you then bet each match using either 5 pre-defined correct scores or4...Betting only 4 involves dropping one of the 5 correct scores in an attempt toimprove profitability and Return On Investment - see Past Performance sectionbelow.

Having used the odds comparison sites, you should be in the best position tomaximise the profit on the 5 (or 4) correct score selections you have.

Bets are placed at level stakes - there are no reasons why you couldn't dutch them oruse progressive staking.

When looking at odds on the Exchanges (Betfair, Betdaq etc), I will subtract 5% fromthe price to reflect the bog-standard commission charged.

Also if people use the exchanges, bear in mind liquidity may be an issue dependingon the game selected and how early on you are trying to place your bet. As I amrecording to £1 stakes (yes, Betfair does have a £2 minimum stake, but there's alwaysways and means...), it means I won't have any such liquidity issues for the review.

Lastly, the prices I show will be at the time I obtain them - whenever that is. Theymay have been higher before, they may be higher afterwards. That is always the way,so if your results differ from mine, then that will be why.

Past Performance

In 2011, there was 9 winning betting months out of 11. Using 5 bets per game andstaking £1 on each bet (e.g £5 total) returned an overall profit of £4662.50 with anROI of 116%. Using 4 bets per game and staking £1 on each (e.g. £4 total) returnedan overall profit of £4625 with an ROI of 208%

The above results included winners at 1000/1 and 900/1.

Purchasing And Preparing For Use

The product costs £69.97 and is purchased via PayPal or Moneybookers. There areno refunds available.

Once purchased, you will be sent a link to a zip file which you download, unzip andrun (after inputting a code that Steve will give you). You can then have the icon forGolden Soccer Star on your desktop. When you open it up, it is the eBook with therules for the system. I believe it has been done this way to stop unlawful piracy ofthe product.

You may need to open up a few new bookie accounts online for this system to bemost profitable. Some of the best prices from this system have come from bookieslike TitanBet, Triobet etc. A lot of bets are available with good old fashioned bookiesthat I have used and recognised living here in the UK.

The selections email service is available at an extra cost to those whose whopurchased Golden Soccer Star. A season long subscription costs £169.99, 3 monthscosts £69.99 and 1 month (auto-renewing) costs £29.99. The first two are bothavailable via PayPal/MoneyBookers, the 1 month option, PayPal only.

Can Anyone Use This Product?

No football knowledge is required.

There is no requirement to follow live markets etc, so this system can be used bypretty much anyone as bets can be placed in advance of the kick off for each game.If you're using the selection email, all you need to do is use the odds comparisonsites and then place your bets.

If you wish to manually find your selections, it took me (yes, I have had a go) about5-10 minutes per league, the rule is that simple.

Details About My Review

I will be reviewing the selections that come through via email. As mentioned earlier,these will cover the English Premier, Scottish Premier, German Bundesliga, FrenchLigue 1, Spanish Primera, Italy Serie A and the UEFA Champions League.

I will also record results for the top leagues in Holland, Turkey, Portugal and Brazil, aswell as the English Championship. These particular results won't form part of the


review, but I may comment on them from time to time as they are an informal way ofseeing whether the Golden Soccer Star product is successful on other leagues.

I will use 2 betting bank of 500 points and equate 1 pt to £1 for each.

Bank 1 will be for using 5 correct score bets per game (hence we will stake 5 pts/£5per game.

Bank 1 will be for using 4 correct score bets per game (hence we will stake 4 pts/£4per game.

The review will initially be based on 56 betting days...if we have a day without bets, itwon't count towards the review. When we have completed 56 betting days, thedecision will be made as to whether we carry on to the 84 betting days timescale ornot.

Odds On Ron - Introduction

Sgt Colin Introduces Odds On Ron

Hi, Sgt Colin here, with my latest review for BettingSystemtruths.com. I am going toreview the Odds On Ron betting system, a horseracing system which provides rulesfor selecting horses to win or place in afternoon races. Published by Paul Thistlewood,Odds On Ron comes on a "pdf", and costs £32.40 (although places are identified aslimited). The advertising says that Paul will actually send his selections for 3 months,so you don't initially have to make selections (although I will be doing).

Without giving too much away,the Odds On Ron service requires you to makeselections by utilising a single bookmaker's odds on races with up to 10 runners,placing win & place bets. The selection needs to take place prior to racing, but it is a"stop at a winner" system, using a loss recovery approach, so you will need to reviewresults and place bets during the afternoon. I will also report on the performance ofthe system using level stakes (albeit on a stop at a winner basis).

As I write this, I have already been monitoring performance for 3 days.

I look forward to seeing how the system works over our trial period, which willinitially be 56 days, and which may be extended to 84 days if the results arepromising.

Hi Bloggers,

Sgt Steve here, I have previously done reviews on LTO for Sports Betting Professorand Racing Tipsters and more recently Place Bet Pro, Cricket Tipster, Golf BettingProfits and Partners in Profit. Anyway, my name is Steve and I’m 42 years old and livein Melbourne, Australia. I have been interested in betting on horses for over 20 yearsnow and have picked up sports betting as well in the past 5 or so years. I starteddoing sports arbitrage full time about 6 years ago and then moved to the UK and wastrading horse racing for a couple of years. Back in Australia now and am still bettingin my spare time and follow a couple of systems that seem reasonably good buthaven't yet led me to the Holy Grail, betting being my source of income, which is myultimate goal. Well my ultimate goal is to get my golf handicap into single figures butyou get the gist, one thing follows another.

On to the introduction, ProBall Club gives the services of 5 separate tipsters for bothSports Bets (Football, Golf and Tennis) and Horse Racing, for both Back and Lay bets.

The Golf tips service offers 2 main types of bets, outright bets (each/way) and2/3 Ball Bets;

Pro Tennis Tips – straight match win betting; Football Back Service - double chance bets, which covers both the team you are

backing and the draw; Football Lays Service - laying the draw; and Racing Lays Service - lays low priced favourites.

There is also an additional tip that gives out what they call ‘Profit/Perm tips’ whichseem to be accumulator bets. I will keep a record of these but at this stage won’t beincluding it as part of the reporting process. Bets will be $100 on doubles and treblesand $50 on the accumulator so $1050 in total if 4 teams selected.

ProBall Club claims to have made £40,085.00 profit in first 7 months of 2012 at anaverage of almost £6,000.00 per month (to £100 stakes).

I will start with a $2000 bank and be having $100 win bets on all selections, exceptfor the golf which I will start with $5000 as they may be more bets in that system.Therefore 20 point banks with a 50 point bank for golf. I may adjust this as thevolume of tips are revealed (I don’t know what I am in for yet!)


So you don’t actually have to know anything about any of these sports to place thesebets. You just wait for the email from ProBall Club and put them on. There doesn’tappear to be a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with this product. Thecost is £47 per month all up.

Just to recap what Auto Bet Wins is a system that is explained on a 26 page PDFcreated by Toby Maguire. As in the words of the Author ”the idea is that you willlearn the formula so that you will never look to which horse is favourite for a raceagain, as you will always have your own favourite”. You apply the system by manuallyapplying ratings to Horses based on the Auto Bet Wins formula.

Cost

It can be purchased by Click Bank for £27.00 (and £5.40 Vat). There is a 60 daymoney back guarantee offered according to the vendor.

System requirements

To operate the system you’ll need access to Racing Post Race Cards. You do not needto be paying a subscription to the Racing Post for the information you will need.

There are no restrictions as to when you apply the system so you could bet just weekdays or weekends etc. You could apply this system just using Bookmaker accounts orusing just exchanges or both.

As this system requires you to apply ratings to each horse by working through therace cards, it takes a fair bit of operating time. Because of this operating time itwould be impossible to apply these ratings to all races.

Staking Plan and Betting Balance

There is no advised staking plan.

Therefore I decided I would show results using two seperate betting banks of 100points each.

Betting Bank 1

For Betting Bank 1 Results were win only. The stake for each race were level stakes5pts.

Betting Bank 2

Again I used level stakes of 5pts but in this case I bet each way only.

So onto the results for the trial period of 84 days:

Total bets 89

Wins 34

Losses 53

Broke Even 2

Total Points Staked 445

Strike Rate 38.20 %

R.O.I. 42.47%

(Both banks combined)

Betting Bank 1 at end of Review:


Start Balance: 100 Pts

Final P/L: 75.79 Pts

Final Balance: 175.79 Pts

Betting Bank 2 at end of Review:

Start Balance: 100 Pts

Final P/L: 113.19 Pts

Final Balance: 213.19 Pts

Below I will give you a break down of my conclusions of the Service to provide myreasoning of the overall rating.

Profitability

Based on my review period results representing roughly a quarter of a year (going on21 betting days on average a month) you could expect an annual profit of around755.92 points. Here are a few examples of what the estimated profit would be for ayear on my results:

£1 per point: £755.00

£5 per point: £3775.00

£10 per point: £7550.00

So betting £5 per point you would be betting £25 per race and on the staking plans Iused you would need two betting banks of £500 pounds each to generate a yearlyprofit of approximately £3775.00. Over £300 a month not to shabby. Of course youcould use compounding to alter the results, different staking plans etc. It's worthremembering to produce these results I bet very cautiously and often applied theAuto Bet Wins plan to races but then did not bet if the figures did not comeout favorably. If a follower of this system bet in every race they applied the ratingsto they may come out with very different results.

Profitability rating 4 out 5

Operating the service


There is no doubt in my mind that this system will point you towards value bets onoccasions and any bets you place from following this system will be based on fairlysound reasoning. Having used the system for some time now I think PDF is certainlyopen to subjective interpretation. I think at the very least a Novice Punter would findit both very time consuming (at first) and problematic in interpreting some of theguidelines relating to certain categories. It took me on average 45mins to applythese ratings to one race (on average of 8 runners). To rate lots of races or raceswith large fields would be very time consuming. My main worry is that differing viewson how you apply the ratings would result in very different final ratings. That saidthe system is basically sound in that it is applying numerical values to the race carddata. Any form student would be able to recognize some merits to this system.

Operating the service rating 1 out of 5

Return on Investment

Based on my review staking plans here are some examples of estimated return oninvestment for the quarterly review period:

£1 per point: Staked £445.00 to win £188.00 (£5 per bet)

£10 per point: Staked £4450 to win £1889.80 (£50 per bet)

It's fair to say my review has produced an excellent return on investment at over 42%.The problem is replicating these figures as stated above in Operating the Service.

Return on Investment rating 3.5 out of 5.

Risk

Risk was never much of an issue using my staking plans during the review. The worstposition either of the Betting Banks were in was a percentage loss of less than 11%. Iwas effectively betting 1/20th of my betting bank on each selection which is hardlyover cautious staking.

Risk rating 4 out of 5

Support and Documentation.

Support wise I can only state there is no attached contact details of the vendor in thePDF and that the support link on the sales page does not work, make of that what you


will. Although there is a money back guarantee of 60 days. As I have mentionedalready in operating the system I didn't find operating the system that easy but myinterpretations of the rules of the PDF certainly produced good results. I would behappy to answer on questions on this as best as I can from anyone who haspurchased the system.

Therefore the overall rating for Auto Bet Wins based on my conclusions averages outat 3 out of 5.
