ay is here, and we are at the end of our year. What a fun year it
has been! All of the great activities we had this year, as well as the behind-the-scenes work of running this whole organization, would not have been possible without the hard work of our committee chairpeople. I would like to take a moment to thank these people individually for all the hard work they put into making this year happen.
Laura: My VP--Thank you for all your support and the fantastic job in planning our Halloween party last Fall. I know we all had such an incredibly fun time.
Ashley: Thank you for taking copious notes at our board meetings. Knowing how much we all talk, this can be a cumbersome task.
Shannon W.: Thank you for creating our new online directory and handling our email communication. You did such a great job!
Anissa, Jill, Chrissy and Lori: Thank you all for your great New Member Recruitment and Coordination. We had more than 30 new members this year! You all did a fantastic job growing our membership and helping them acclimate to our group.
Amanda and Mousumi: Our new website is amazing. Thank you so much for all your hard work in developing a beautiful new website that takes our organization to a whole new level.
Shannon G. and Christine: Our new online newsletter is so fantastic!
Thank you for developing such a creative and beautiful newsletter. It looks so amazing!
Jenny: Thank you for keeping us informed about the community activities we have going on around us.
Gloria and Debbie: Thank you so much for planning all of the fun activities to do with our kids. I know our membership is so thankful for having such fun and creative activities to do throughout the year.
Erika: You took us to a whole new level in advertising dollars! Your creative vision and hard work helped us to bring in more sponsor money than we have ever had. Many thanks to you for all that you have done to bring in new sponsors and for making them feel special.
Ann: You did a fantastic job of making sure we had interesting topics and fun meetings all year long! Thank you for coming up with great topic ideas and coordinating all the great speakers we had this year.
Kristen: Many thanks to you for keeping our finances and my tendency to spend money in line!
Maria: Thank you for making sure all of our members had meals when they needed them. This is a great help to our members when they are in need.
Christina and Kathy: Thank you so much for making sure we had cocktails and food at our monthly meetings. This is not an easy task to coordinate, and you both did an amazing job! Continued on Next Page

lease come socialize with us at our last meeting of the year,
May 1st at 7:30 p.m., for a end-of-the-year celebration and sharing opportunities. Don’t miss this chance to catch up and think about getting together and connecting over the summer. Let’s also come and share summer time ideas with one another. I will
have sheets of paper where we can write down our suggestions for things to do in the area during the summer. Please come prepared to fill in the blanks!
Topics will include: Your favorite kids camps, parks, playgrounds (inside or outdoors), picnic spots, family day trips, story times, places to get a hot
day treat, water-related fun (pool, water park, water playground, lake within driving distance), fun sporting events to take kids to, fun ways to get exercise for kids, rainy day ideas, etc.
After the meeting I will compile the lists, and they will be emailed out to the group.
See you Tuesday!

President’s Note Continued: Ruth: Thank you for putting together all of our various playgroups. I am not sure if anyone knows how difficult the coordination of this task is, but I know everyone is so appreciative of your diligence in making sure they have a group they can get together with for their kids to play together.
Pam: Thank you so much for all of your work in Philanthropy. Your passion for getting our group involved in good works is amazing. I am really looking forward to our group participating in Relay for Life again this summer.
Bekah and April: WOW! You guys have gone above and beyond in this role by creating fun activities for us to do each month. Thank you so much for making Moms Night Out such a great experience.
Finally, thank you to all of our members for being a part of this great organization. This is a group of truly amazing women. I am so proud to be a part of it. Have a very fun and safe summer, and I will see you all again in September!
Best Regards, Regan VanKerckhove
ook Good, Feel Better.” This is the name of a session
organized by The American Cancer Society. Did you know that when a woman goes through chemotherapy, she has to throw all of her makeup away? Chemo suppresses the immune system, and any germs in the makeup could cause her to get extremely sick. Did you know that people who lose their hair during chemo also lose their nose hairs and eyelashes? These are things that women undergoing chemotherapy learn in a two-hour session called “Look Good, Feel Better.”
The American Cancer Society organizes on average one session per week in our tri-state area alone! They have found companies to donate new makeup and other items to distribute at these sessions. They bring in licensed cosmetologists to
help women learn makeup tricks and how to combat their dry skin. These sessions are invaluable to women who have skin cancer, breast cancer, lymphoma, leukemia, etc. This is just one of the many ways that The American Cancer Society helps people!
And so, we invite you to join us in the Relay for Life on Friday, June 8! Come and walk a few laps with our team! Donate and Join Our Team, send a quick email out to family and friends. Let’s make a difference in the lives of others!
