The snake that stalked the earth!

This giant snake named the Titanoboa is believed to have lived 58 million years ago. It is believed to be 14m(46 ft.) long and weigh more than a ton.

What is it?

{This giant snake wasn’t poisonous instead it killed its prey with its crushing force of 400 psi, equivalent to one and a half times the Brooklyn Bridge.

Instead of the mice, rats, eggs, chickens and other small animals other snakes eat, the titanoboa

could easily eat an entire alligator without showing a bulge.

Until last year scientists couldn’t get a full picture of the snake because they had no skull of it to study. Because their skulls are so different from ours their skulls didn’t survive time so few remain.

Today the titanoboa is extinct. They most likely died out because of the Earth’s climate getting warmer and the CO2 levels rising.
